I've been wanting a 2 in. riser for my 700. so, i thought of a great idea. from the 3 in. riser i bought for my 500 and the handlebars i bought but haven't used yet, i had a total of 3 handlebar clamps and i stacked the clamps together and made a 2 in. riser out of it. i have to go to fleet farm for longer bolts and i have to go to ray's cycle for some bearings, i will get some pics of it later. $2!!!!!!!!

here's the pics of the riser, i also went to ray's cycle and got the drive and jackshaft bearings for $13.95! thanks motoski for the bearings plus the stickers! i figured it show u guys a pic of my snow bike, i reinforced the ski to the rim again. i also got another amsoil sticker for my windshield after my first windshield with an amsoil sticker cracked and i put the backup on it.

Is fugly a word Andy? Too Funny! Scott I would use grade 8 bolts to hold the whole thing together. How about shop class? do they still have such a thing?

fugly means effin ugly...lol. you sure i NEED grade 8 bolts or would that just be for safety? this sled ain't gonna be ridden standup 100% like my 500 if that makes a difference. i had a block of metal that would work for a handlebar riser. it was 1 in. i have 2. i tried to drill the holes but they aren't perfectly lined up since i don't have a drill press. i just taped one of the clamps on top and drilled away but that didn't turn out too good.i still have another chunk to try if i use a drill press

Not sure about the grade 8, but I grade 8 everything. If you are not worried about safety you will be fine. Oh your stickers are in the mail.

i normally use grade 8 on everything. i take out the bolts on all of my ski's with the cotter pins and put in grade 8's with locking nuts (easier to take on and off in the future) i put on regular cheapo zinc bolts on my ski tips thinking "oh the tips just need to stay on" but now that i think of it, i sometimes yank the sled around by the ski tips so i'm worried. oh and my 500 has grade 5 bolts

Totally have the same setup on my 90' Indy 400. Been like that for years !

how many inches is it? i got a total of 2 inches with 3 clamps. i'll loook for more at the wausau swap meet this upcoming year. pretty cheap, but my 3 in. riser i got from there for $5. so if i find another steal on a riser i'll get it or else i'll look for more clamps! it's cool too because u can just add another one when you want it taller!
