A lot of discussion about that over there right now. I am still undecided on what I will do when the time comes. 10 bucks a year I can swing no problem, we will see after it happens how many people stick around.

Personally I think the new admin over there starting added things that nobody uses, nobody really likes, slowed everything down, then he talked his bosses into a new dedicated server, and now they have to pay for it, which means we have to pay for it.

Just tell them to all come over here!

We are actually working on setting up the new bulletin board software. Not sure when it will be taking over, but we have it running in the background and are testing things and setting things up.

A bit more tweaking, but the main things we have to do is transfer all the user profiles and posts. I think folks will like it a lot better than this one. The look will not change much, but the features will be more enhanced and friendlier.

By the way, we are closing in on 10,000 registered users, less than 80 away now. $10 x 10,000 I could give up my day job! Don't worry, the board will remain free to all!

Thanks for keeping it free to everyone John. You and your moderators run a great site. Snowest, like this site, is what it is because of the community that uses it. Only time will tell whether or not Snowest will be the same. It all depends on who stays and who moves on.

I'm on 3 sites regularly, SW, HCS and here. And, by far this is the friendliest site and much more enjoyable to visit without all the brand and people bashing. Joking is one thing, but outright negativity at others and their choice of machine just isn't needed.

We're all sledders and our community isn't growing as fast as some other sports might. We need to stick together and protect the resources we enjoy as a group or, honestly, this sport won't exist. Everyone should be able to use public land, and a huge THANKS goes out to all the private citizens who allow our sport to cross THEIR land for a few months a year. Without them and the dedicated people keeping snowmobiling alive we have a short future.

Well everyone should pay the $10 like I just did for the daily weather e-mail update. I look forward to that like a cup of coffee in the morning!

I used to enjoy the reading over on SW, but these days, it seems to be alot of bickering and the such. (Not to mention how darn slow the site has become.)

slimcake.

As long as they allow it on HCS, I do not have any problems with you plugging the site on their board.
