That escalated quickly! We all agree that staying off private property is the thing to do. If someone in your group is riding on private property just tell them to get off of it and be respectful. Sledders have to monitor our own or the authorities will do it for us.

I rode up to mass city on trail 3 today to see the damage.
Problem is , Im not sure if I was in the right spot.
Is Military Hill where the trail comes along side 41 heading north and there is about a 200 yards of chain link fence?

Did you climb a big hill to get to the top with the chain link fence? I also believe its along hwy 45, 41 is over by L'Anse, according to google maps.

That picture is across the river from the actual hill in question. I don't know what the people riding this hill are thinking, but throwing a thread out there for the world to see every winter surely isn't helping things.

If that pic is north of this hill then it is the spot on
Where tr. 3 comes next to hy 45 and a chain link fence was put up. Who put the fence up...MSA? DOT?...landowner? Either way....the fence would have more affect along the Hy. Boundry which would roughly 1/3way up the incline

Because surely if you don't talk about, then it'll just go away. I think thats it being brought to everybody's attention is a great thing. Brings awareness and shows that the snowmobiling community as a whole isn't the problem. It's the few bad apples that ruin it for everyone. I applaud INDY for starting this thread.

Well...OK...I rode past Military Hill again today.
The tracks that Indy probly started this thread over are all but covered with new snow.

I think most of the past hill climbing started at the top and off the trail. With the chain link fence in place you can't ride down from the top and there isn' t an easy way to access
the hill from the bottom without driving right down Hy 45...Lol...this whole tread is a load of horse
Chit...I'v seen it . Time to get over the hissy fit.
