MISSOURI TOURIST OUT ON THE TRAIL

Ran across this on the Main Trail last Monday just South of Slim's in Mohawk

We were on our way from Twin Lakes to Copper & back

Appears that they turned in from the road thinking the trail was a driveway/road and kept going for 1/4 mile or so until they got stuck

Our buddy on the 2020 XCR is a first time snowmobiler at the age of 67

He did pretty good (165 miles that day) considering that his face shield was foggin' up on his brand new CKX Mission $ 700 helmet - rode with his shield open on the way back

Always someone doing what the GPS tells them instead of believing their own eyes. It's amazing how many people do this. Did your buddy get his helmet issue figured out?

Not on this trip, unfortunately
He called Dennis Kirk on our way home
Said they were having issues with the shields
Sent him a new one out -no questions asked
Hoping to head back up riding in 2 weeks after temps warm up a bit

It could be an issue with getting the shield closed all the way. It is more difficult that one would think to close the shield. You have to grab the vent plastic with your fingers and use your thumb on the bottom by the necker, and pinch hard. This is how it is on my CKX mission. There is a definite pop when it closes.

That day was warm, mid 20's- it was fogging up IN BETWEEN the panes of plastic - That's the frustration !

When we arrived at the Mariner in Copper, we thought it MIGHT clear up indoors- no luck. He rode 82 miles back with his shield open @ night

That’s SUCKS I FEEL YOUR PAIN. Absolutely hate fogging!
It's the new guy's headache

I gave up on full face helmets years ago

I Switched to the motocross style helmet with goggles (with built in prescription lenses) and have been happy ever since

Have had that Mission helmet for 3 years, best helmet I’ve ever owned, defective lense for sure. Saw the same vehicle last week and we all laughed when we saw the plates!
