Yeah I wouldnt doubt the amounts the way it has been snowing, Im not too far from Gile. The shoveled banks are already 5 feet or more high...It's snowing pretty hard now. Weird how they get more for some reason cause NOAA always says "heaviest amounts along the higher terrain from Ironwood, Wakefield Rockland" etc. Never Gile?

I would like to see some more pictures of unpiled and unplowed snow from Gile. Everything I have seen from Gile appears to be disturbed or redistributed. I have seen pictures from Buffalo that have undisturbed snow. At least one of the pictures in the article is from Buffalo and if you click on it you can see more from Buffalo.

I'll be in Ironwood tomorrow. Not sure if I want to take 77 up from Mellen to Hurley though. Can you say "snow covered and slippery"?

I drove thru there yesterday 2X. While I can't say I'd recognize 50+" of snow, based on the fact that the snow is up to or over the bottom of many windows, I'd say they got a buttload of snow and call it good! Will post pics later. In Ironwood, the once place I looked closely easily has 4' on the level.

Hopefully this Rain will help settle and freeze things up or there are some swamps that may be impossible to cross. There is a lot of Water in those picks.
