What about work? I found a house across the street from the famous Laurium glacier, but not so sure about a move. Still a dream for me.

IF IT'S NOT A JOKE ,good for you WELCOME to the YOOP. If your willing to work, want to work and don't mind being paid less then $10 an hour, and can learn to go with less, shop wisely at 2nd hand stores, and hunt, fish and eat what you've hunted you'll be in like flin! But then again there can be good jobs to be had, and if your patient and work long hard hours you can start a business or work from home like John, one can make it here you just have to find your nitch, and live the simple life, which really is a dream come true, I wouldn't have it any other way! I'm sure you could have a blast at DJing.Or working your trade, but remember wages would be far less! It's fun to hit the cities but anything after 2 days I get bored, as I hate to shop, although I love to site see and travel, which is one of the biggest ticket items you have to give up,either because you work to hard or there's no money. I refuse to pay full price for anything other then big toys, so shopping is out unless it's second hand Sally shopping, which to me is fun it's like hunting, sometimes you get lucky! The house your starting with is typical of a Yooper home and a great start, great location as well. To become a true Yooper you put a addition on every 5 years and leave house wrap on for at least that long or until your done adding on, one must have a min. of 2 out buildings, before you can afford a garage or pole barn. Then you need a 4 wheeler, plow truck, boat or canoe, motorcycle, fishing pole, and a few guns and of course a snowmobile. Then your all set to walk out your front door and enjoy!!! Just in time you'll be here for the annual mud run! SEE, YOU SOON, we yoopers get together at each others homes to eat drink and be merry, going out is a luxery, and we love an excuss, so a house warming party will be your 1st. event to host, set the date!YEE HAW!

Well it was an April fools! but I still would like to find a cheap place for long weekends and more!
I love it up there and it already feels like home to me when I'm up there!
I am running out of hope for a dump yet this month but if it happens in the next few weeks you can bet you will see me!
My sled is clean and in the trailer ready to go at a Min notice!
I dream of the simple life-with tombstone pizza of coarse! ha ha

now ya made me hungry!
Did you see the date and weight when I joined the JD diet?
I could use to loose a few but I'm not 372LBS!
I could only eat strudels and nothing else!
Ya thats it! the strudel diet!
and maybe throw in a Scottikingwich here and there! ha ha

I wondered how the diet thing was going to work out, living so close to the strudels.

800etech it is the weekend after Mother's Day, we will be leaving Twin Lakes, freinds of ours have been doing this for years, and have a get together at their camp, just past Twin Lakes, it's a true mud run from what we have experianced in the past 4 years we joined in , mud from head to toe, 2 years ago it snowed! Lot's of team work involved to get unstuck!

Last year we had about 9 UTV's, 15 Atv's and a couple dirt bikes, the mud last year was tough, took 9 hours to make it about 25 miles , lots of mud last year numbers were down from previous years! I'm sure there's room for those that want to join, The group leader can let us know how many more he'd like to tackle, as he's the trail mechanic, tow truck etc.
