Munising Conditions

Does anyone have information on the Munising trail conditions? I've got a trip planned with my son Jan 5-9. Not sure if I should cancel.

All the groomers have been parked for the last several days. AlgerSorv, TNT Trenary, Schoolcraft, Seney, Grand Marais. You can check all their sites but likely better to see if anyone has posted on the Polaris Ride app. Also check webcams for the area, Buckhorn & Renze Powersports..

There was still people riding grand Marais and Seney area yesterday surprisingly. With the incoming snow I think that area will be ok.

We talked with several sledders that were guided through the Munising area on Sunday. The woods were good but without the guide it would not have been fun. No snow since and they’re not grooming. I’m curious if the groomers get out before this cold snap?

Thanks for the updates. I have until Friday to cancel. I'll keep an eye on the weather. I did just saw the weather map that Indy posted. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

couple questions on lodging in the area. looking at an end of January for this area for a 4 day trip. am I better off staying in Munsing or Grand Marais. Never been to this area and like 60-70 mile one way trips, eat, have a bump and go back to HQ. Seney a good option?

i would stay in Pine Stump I usually rent a place called riders retreat right next door to the Pine stump bar from there u can go in any direction also think the riders retreat is on the directory here

I stayed in Munising this weekend, trails were great yesterday around Munising, did the trail 7/8 loop. I rode from Seney up to Grand Marais on Saturday as well. Little choppy with the traffic but tons of snow. If you’re riding mid week you’ll be in for a treat!
