My daughter is on her first date...

I remember when my daughter went on her first date, it was a school dance like homecoming or something. The wife was taking pictures of the couple and I walked around the corner with my dbl barrel shotgun making the comment "Son we need to discuss some rules". Daughter got pissed the boy started laughing and asking if he could look at my gun. (He is an avid hunter) They are still together today 8 yrs later.
BTW not sure he paid attention to all the rules but ya gotta trust your daughter and hope you brought them up right.
Enjoy these years, they are truly fun...

Just wait, it will be a blink then some guy will ask you about giving her a diamond. I made sure my daughters knew that any future husband material had to ask me first. That must have helped as no duds came calling. However I had to give my oldest 2 little girls (still brings tears) away last year, good guys though.

Don't view it as giving them "away". You just got some one else feeding them. But I know what you are saying, my boys keep moving back home, but my daughter moved out on high school graduation day, but I still get to see her everyday at lunch.

You better be worrying, sweating, pacing, that's a sign your a good daddy and love her, she's a cutie you better sweat it a little. No really trust in her you my just may have a new riding partner. As mentioned above our daughter had compition for attention because of her dad and his toys! Just be srrict with arrival time!
I don't even own a gun. LOL. I will let my height and deep voice intimidate him. 
I remember one date when I was in high school, we lived in different towns, and hadn't seen each other in two weeks. Went to the movie, went parking, lost track of time, we got pulled over around 1:30 in the morning when I was taking her back home, apprently her parents were a little worried since curfew was 11 pm. Holy crap do I regret doing that now!!

The menu is so complicated at Culvers. Butter this and butter that! Oh back to the issue, So Moms a stalker? Now you know why some of us have high tech phones with tracking devices. lol.
