How many miles on the belt, I'm guessing it was just time to let loose, nothing to do with motor rebuild.

I looked it up same belt.
get it home and dump it when the dumping is good. joe just dumped his for close to 9 .if u are going to be riding with anxiety every time that defeats the point of going out ridding

Exactly same way I felt about new EXT back when every ride was something. Maybe something better at Pats or M&M on trade?

I shredded a belt on a 2012 800 Switchback it took out the crank seal on the clutch side, that caused the left side piston to fail. Might want to check the condition of the seal if you had belt fragments wrap around the crank

Another thing Im so happy about with my Apex ,had over 5,000 miles on first belt last year and changed it just because, and the price of Yamahas belt is only $72 ,compared to $180 for the 321115 Poo belt. NO REGRETS at all for switching brands.

How many miles you have on that puppy now? My XTX just turned the 5000 mile & smiles mark. Never had a belt failure in 15,000+ Yamaha miles!:)

A good alternative to the expensive poo belt is Arctic Cat number 0627-048. You will have to adjust belt deflection, but lots of turbo Poo guys running that cat belt. Ebay, 80 bucks.
