Yet another trailer question. Can't dig up much on neo trailers with the search option. What's everybody's take on neos quality and anybody familiar with the nasl model? Looks pretty basic but well priced.

oh young jedi you must need some search lessons :)

There is a ton of info on the NEO trailers, maybe not on the nasl, but there has been a lot of discussion about them in general, and a little on round vs flat.

Not sure if the "NASL" is the round top "special" John's Trailers sells, or if it's something else, but for a quick personal summary: I looked at the "special" from John's last year, ended up getting a flat top "summer special" which was really the same thing they brought to the Milwaukee and Novi shows but a couple hundred cheaper because I ordered it in September. Talk to them now and see it you can buy a show trailer if you're serious. They bring 3 or 4 and they are always sold a few weeks before the show. You get a good price and you don't have to go to Indiana to pick it up.

Quality is great, super happy with mine except for one super minor thing which is so minor it's too hard to even explain, finished it off myself, tows great, lightweight, fit and finish seems real well done. Bought the flat top because I wanted a few extra things and the special is pretty much a no options, low price, move it out the door item. I'm sure it's the same great quality, but just didn't end up fitting my wants. I have the NASF 7X22.

The NEO plant is six miles from my house. The RnR plant is 15 miles from my house. I know both owners and took a tour of both plants.

In my opinion NEO had a better fit and finish. RnR on the other hand had more options if you wanted to build to suit.

If you're looking for the best bang for the buck I would go with NEO. It is a very good quality and nice looking trailer.

I was looking at a 7x22 don't want to drive to Indiana but I'd like to keep my four wheeler out of the sun not sure if I can wait another 2 months to pick it up at Milwaukee show. My buddy's buying my clamshell within 2 weeks

I did a lot of looking, calling, and bartering before I bought mine. Check out the website, give them a call, but at least look into it before you buy one someplace else. I know I saved a grand by getting it from John's and picking it up, probably could have gotten the same price at the show. You can always rent a storage unit for a couple months if it means you can keep some cash in the sled fund for that trip out west this winter!

I've heard great things about Becker and I called them too. Shot them the price I had from John's and they wouldn't deal at all. Maybe it was just the guy I got on the phone, but anyway, that's why I went the Indiana route.

Us Garys must think alike.
I bought one of the snow show trailers in Milw as well last year. Bought mine from John's trailers.
Between not having to drive through the Chit-town to get to it and the show upgrades like alum. wheels, full LED illumination in and out plus the storage cabinet, I couldn't pass it up
It tows real nice and I love the single point latch on the ramp doors.

Double, triple check the warranty too. Not sure if there are any NEO trailer dealers locally to you but having to haul it yourself or pay someone to haul back to Indiana for warranty work could be a pain. If buying from a nearby dealer for a few dollars more could pay off in the future for this situation .... Not saying anything is going to happen but still a possibility. Good luck!

I'm sure I have the same package. Nothing finished on the inside, just the cabinet and light kit and Alum wheels. Curious what the "show price" was compared to the "summer price". I paid $6.150, then I added a few things that brought the price up, but that was the base price for the package deal. Do you remember what you paid?

I was thinking about that exact issue last night. Stealth dealer is only a little over a half hour drive for me.

Indy,

The attached link is a local Stealth dealer near the Dane County airport that always has a few snow trailers in stock. I bumped into a person from IA last year that had come out to buy one directly from them for whatever reason. Closer than Indiana.... Might be worth a phone call at least.

I've had the unfortunate experience of having to send my 2010 trailer back to MI for repairs and warranty work in which it cost me $400 to do so. Not only did it cost me money, but not all of warranty work was performed as promised it would and there was nothing I can do once the trailer came back. A phone call was useless..... That is the reason I will take a harder look at a local dealer, ask direct questions regarding service warranty work, so they can either be accountable or work with me to hold the manufacturer accountable on the warranty.

Tuff decision as I know these things are not cheap (neither is the sport in general- haha) but, you want to feel like you get your money's worth and stretch the dollar when you can. In this case, since there are limited local resources for this product, it may be worth spending a buck or two more at a reliable local dealer. Good luck again and can't wait to see what you get!

Was not aware, thanks! I just called them for pricing, but they only have top of the line models available currently in the 22' box and up he said they are about 8 weeks out on ordering trailers. I'll maybe make a trip to there just to see what the 18' box looks like and Hilbert on Friday. I need a 22' box minimum otherwise not worth the upgrade for me.

My 7X23 Stealth from Hilbert was 7400 which included finished walls, cabinet, all led lighting, alum wheels, radial tires, 16 on center floor, wall, and ceiling framing, oversized fuel doors, advantech flooring, roof vent, and upgrade interior lighting. Now this was two years ago, but I thought it was a good deal then and am very happy with the quality and the service from Mirsburger's. Plus it's close to home.......
