I like the klim gear but the diff color elbow reinforcing patches always reminds me of cheesy 70s weatherman sport coat's.I am more of a Johnny Cash guy

FXR Renegade for sure if only critera is looks. I say "only critera being looks" only because I don't know much about the FXR Renegade product. I like Klim gear, but the really need to hire some new marketing people to keep up with current trends. I'm with Ezra!

way to photo shop them into one image
That would take me all night to figue out and by the time I would be done I would be drunk and ticked off

I'm a basic black guy even my lid is all black goes with any sled. I buy black then weigh tech specs then bang for buck & go from there. FXR or Klim no bad choice both excellent. Does anybody really notice which model you are wearing when all so simular? Trouble is mixing up with others in pit stops & unfortunalley that is where you get ripped off too. Better to be a little worn like white sneakers or says here I am brand new off the rack.lol

I looked at Mororfist but just didn't care for the look. If they dropped the logo I would consider them. I know the whole form above fashion argument but to be honest most of the $300+ jackets out there are going to perform well.

Honestly to me it is not the jacket performance it is the bib/pant that makes the difference for me. Cold wet A$$ will spoil the day faster than any jacket. I have been layering & venting for soooooo many years that I never get cold in my upper body. I had a old cheap Poo teal indy trail jacket that did not breath at all was a wet sponge at the end of the day but can't say I was cold. But get a cold wet butt & the fun is over right away.lol

I switched from FXR's top of the line gear to Motorfist. It is good gear but I didn't like it for off-trail type riding.

Motorfist is very good trail riding gear & super bang for buck ran nice sales last year too. My problem no dealers in area so gave up on it & bought FXR.

Engelhart Center has Motorfist here in Madison. Great function. Not sure if I would say it's better than Klim.

As for my gear this year, upon further consideration since I do a mix of on and off trail and the fact that I am getting a Klim TekVest for Christmas I decided on the Klim over the FXR. I tried on the Klimate with the vest and it was very comfortable. My main concern is how hot I could get without a removable liner. So I am not leaning to a lightly insulated parka (the Vector) or going with the Keweenaw so I have the versatility of being able to remove the liner if I need to.

Picked up two Motorfist Rekon jackets off of snowest the other day. Both are 2011 models, one xl slightly used, the other a xxl brand new with tags still on it. Both for $300. My buddy Joe will wear the XXL, and his son will wear the XL. We will see how they compare to my Klim gear.
