Sweet, i bet ya bought that bike cheap as heck to. The fun factor / investment is very high / low on these older 2 strokes. I got my 450 ready to rock also. Me and some buddies are thinking about heading your way memorial day. Twin Lakes to Baraga, maybe hit the plains while we are there.
Anybody mind if I tag along if I can talk my wife into dropping me off in Greenland.

O we might be a MC gang then! LOL
Of course you can ride with. What do you have for an old school green suzuki? That would be great if we could park the trailer at your place.

It's a 72 TC125,two stoke enduro. It is the old school one that has the lever in the bottom case with 3 bonus off road gears. I'm the second owner and get yelled at a few times a year on how it belongs in a museum ,not in the woods. Paintings belong in a museum, anything with a motor needs to be taken out and run.

Cool Man, 72 was a great year, damn thing is just as old as i am. Agreed if it runs, run it. Them extra 3 gotta to be super low gears. Maybe nytro can get his old (74?) trials bike running.

What if I license my argo as a boat and drive it on the trails pulling a trailer?

If it's on land, then it's being used as an ORV and will need the ORV Stickers. If you take it into the water, then it will also need to be registered as a watercraft.

If you are only using it on private land, then no ORV stickers are needed.

The Keweenaw ATV Trail is now a State DNR designated trail and is open from Calumet to Copper Harbor
ATV Trail Privileges
It is through the generosity and trust of private land owners, land trusts and corporate entities that we have been granted the permission and privilege of crossing their property. Various landowners have imposed certain restrictions on their property. This privilege may be revoked at any time. Please, stay on designated trails and respect private property. See "News and Events" page for specific limitations.

NOTICE: BY ORDER OF THE LANDOWNERS, ALL ATV TRAILS ON PRIVATE LAND ARE OPEN TO ATV'S AND SIDE BY SIDES ONLY. NO JEEPS, PICKUPS, FULL-SIZE VEHICLES, CONVERTED 4X4'S OR DIRT BIKES ARE ALLOWED.

To clarify, the main trail north of the bridge, which in part involves the Jack Stevens Trail (17) from Hancock to Calumet which changes into trail (3) from Calumet to Copper Harbor is in fact now a DNR Designated trail. Trail (3) from Hancock to the Trailside Lodge is not DNR designated but is part of the Keweenaw ATV Club designated trail. Be further aware that there are legs off of trail (3) north & south that are also Keweenaw ATV designated. Long & the short of it, you may as well by both permits to cover all bases, at this point it's $10 additional for the DNR & State trail permit on top of the $26.25. Yes, it's more than the customary $16.25, but it's all for a good cause.-Mezz

You can shove your red notices and banning of certain power sports. No side by sides and dirt bikes really what do you have against them? I remember you bitching about side by sides last summer. Dirt bikes are less harmfull then four wheelers, what is this Wisconsin! I can see having width restrictions but the rest is nonsense! Im a responsible dirt bike trail rider. Is it land owners or is it you? You know how many people are riding side by sides these days? Thats business dollars thats gonna stay out of the Keweenaw unfortunatly.

Its not my restrictions, its the land owners. They have the right...so go complain to them or ATV club. Go to the next meeting and talk to them about it.

One has to question if dirt bikes were either under represented or mis represented by the powers of the atv club to get the landowner approval.Michigan has in the past had the best m/c trail sytem in the midwest, that however has changed since allowing atvs on m/c only trails.should my trail permit support atv trails that do not allow m/c's?no sir just as atv trail permits should'nt support m/c only. It's that silly taxation w/o representation thing.Had it not been for the m/c clubs down state starting the trail system in the 1960's you probably would'nt have one today, atv or snowmobile!Bottom line any club seeking to build trails and get funding from trail permits should have to allow other forms of recreation required to purchase a permit within reason. If not then fund with club dollars.

I like this Fish fella . The ironic thing is,they are closing off all of these trails to 300lb pound bikes, but a 3000lb sxs with stupid mud tires is ok. It's like anything else today, if it makes sense, change the law. Everyone with common sense either died or left the country. I haven't sold everything and bought a VW bus yet,but I'm getting close. What am I thinking ,a VW bus can't pull my toy hauler !!!lol

Took the yammi for a ride the other day just found out it has no 5th gear. Found a little wear in the trans .I have a lowend from a 01 yzf 426 that the gear set is pretty close and I believe it'll work I'm just waiting for my gasket kit to come to put it together.Putting new piston in it while I'm at.
