All - Looking to switch the OEM ski’s that came with my sled and have gotten the typical sales pitch runaround from the dealers, etc. about what to buy. Figured I’d ask the real experts…actual snowmobilers! No other better place to get the best advice than John Dee.com!

Thanks!

Curve XS - Agressive/More steering effort

C&A XTX - Moderately aggressive. (less than the XT)

Simmons Gen 1 - Great overall ski/No darting/Pushes in loose snow.

5.7 Pilots - Easy steering/Pushes/Poor Flotation/Cheap!

I have read that USI, Triple threat X2 with 6" Shapers work well also.

In reality you can buy just about ANY other ski and it will be an improvement. I am not sure why Yamaha is so slow to realize that they need a new stock ski.

Wow. Have you tried those out Indy? With 10" cardides you should be the size of Lou Ferrigno by they end of the season.

Lol..thats easy:

C&A pro razor ski's w/10 in. carbides

Seriously though. These are your best bets. Unless you are looking to get into some deep powder. I can tell you what I am doing. I am going to try to sell my OEM ski's. If I can't sell them then Curve Industries has a trade in program that I can put them towards a new set of Curve XS.

I think they are a solid ski and you cant beat the amount of communication they provide on different setups they are running.
