I love the yammie blue, but that is one saweet looking mochine.
I'm happy with my 08 vector,@ 7000 clicks, would like to have the 2010 with the slightly detuned "Nytro" 1049cc mill.
Sounds like you and yur wife ride like we do, we put a few 300's on her Rage this past season, mostly in da UP.
Yur gonna love bein able to pin the throttle as long as you care to on the rr beds and not even think about a burndown.

snobuilder, blue is my favorite color, esp. Yamaha blue. I would have been just as happy with a new 09. Black is pretty cool too, and maybe a little rare this year. Even stock, the sound is great.

ezra, Ya and it was my wifes sled (600sdi GSX}, so it wasn't like it got run hard or anything. The mag side bearing went, I was told that was a little unusual. I found a guy online ( THE SKI DOO CLINIC ) that rebuilds the cranks with sealed bearings. We have about 650 miles (two rides) on the rebuilt motor, so far so good!

Great looking sled nytro! I LOVE that people are finally giving the four strokes a chance. I don't care what anybody says, NOBODY touches Yamaha as far as fit and finish. I'll take a little extra weight over a cheap feeling, cheap looking, lighter sled. After getting the 2010 buyers guide in the mail this week, I was surprised (happily) that there are plenty of "other" sleds being sold that cost MORE than a Yamaha. I was shocked to see that mine is OVER 10k now....YIKES! Speaking of mine...Here it is...

Two months + is going to feel like a lifetime before I can ride it. I need to go to the snow show in Novi to pick-up a bounch of "this & that, but even that's not for another month. I think my wife and I need to come up to the UP and do some trail brushing, that would kill a little time. After that all that's left is shooting the poop with you guys.

Nytro, you are da man! That black looks great in your pics. I also have an XTX and its awesome. I thought it might be made for the younger guys but nope, this 49 year old does just fine after 2,000 miles on the ground and a few more in the air. Fusion, that APEX LTX GT is another great choice, its probably next for me but the XTX stays too!

I don't recall wishing I had studded it though, keep the suspension a bit soft and it hooks up great. I figure that track is heavy enough as it is. I'll look for you in the UP.

Doug, I take it your xtx is a blue 09, is that right? I'm glad to hear you like the way it rides. All I know is I love the sound of the four stroke, and the black is pretty cool. I ride alot in the Seney and Grand Marais area, but with frequent trips all over the UP. See at a watering hole sometime maybe. Nytro

Nytro, mine is white but the brother just picked up a new 09 in blue; we always run together. We ride the Western UP mostly, starting with Twin Lakes on December 10 at 8:00 PM. We will be in Greenland at 8:10.

How is that for anxious? I would love to get your way as well. We will see what we can do.

As for the ride, we did a 825 mile back pack run and I never felt better.

Doug, I have been riding the first week in december (" The boys trip") ever sence the winter of 1995. Only two years, no snow and one of those we rented quads, it was a blast. I've been to the wetern UP a couple of times, LK Gogebic, Silver City. I'll be doing trail clean-up in Copper Harbor area Oct. 23/24.
