If anybody is interested in checking out a new snowmobile film different than the same old Slednecks, BTR, Braaap, etc. movies, check out this new film by Hybrid Color Films in Anchorage, Alaska called "The Winter Project". It's a documentary about the history of backcountry snowmobiling and how some of the first snowmobile films started.

A couple of us had the honor of heading out to Anchorage this weekend for the world premier of the film. The show was held at the Bear Tooth Theater, and was completely sold out for 4 showings in a row. Present were several snowmobile legends and X-Games medalists such as Paul Thacker, Cory Davis, Joey Junker, Tommy Frankson, and more.

Here's the site if anybody wants to check it out: www.winterproject.net

Its an awesome different angle IMO!
I am a backer on this project and am supposed to get my copy in the mail today!
I'm pretty stoked to get it and enjoyed getting all the updates during the production!

The TheaterPub was way sweet! Who wouldn't love to have beer, pizza and a full menu of other options available while you watch a flick!

You will love this movie if you like watching people jump their sled over and over and over and over and over and over. And then jump it a couple more times after that.

I found it on iTunes and watched it yesterday. Very well done, I hope they do another in similar fashion. I would love to see one done where they give perspective on the time it takes to build these modified, boosted sleds, and also the time it takes to fix em when after they roll down a mtn.
