new trailers.

Looking at getting a new trailer this fall. Not sure of which would be better? Have been looking at both the triton and the feather light trailers. My idea is getting a 14ft enclosed trailer. Just would like some thoughts from some snowmobilers out there.

Thank you

I have never owned a bad triton. always have done very well on them come resale. have never owned a featherlight.
all I know is I will never buy a trailer tire with out alloy wheels again.
I now own a tritan 12 clam love it and a NEO alloy enclosed 24 low deck over love it also

I've never owned a featherlight so I can't comment on those. I've had a triton clamshell and it was great. Only reason I sold it was someone offered me way too much money to say "no". I've been looking all summer and while I would like another triton I've been really impressed with the NEO and I can't justify the extra cash the triton will cost. I'm planning on buying a 23' NEO inline in the next 4 to 6 weeks.

I doubt that there is a bad make out there so choice and longevity is good. But if you intend to do some long distance hauling, I would seriously consider an in-line unit rather than the side by side.

I bought a 23 foot Stealth Predeter inline last year and love it. Good quality and price. Tows like a dream. Good luck in your decision.

I purchased a Stealth Apache 23ft two years ago now and no complaints. Tows great. If we ever down size back to a 2 place it will be with another Trition with a cap. That was a great trailer.

^ Ditto except mines a 7x12 inline. Towed great with my last truck, haven't pulled it yet with my new truck, but expect it to be the same ride.

You get what you pay for. A friend and I thought that Neo was the cat's a** of a value. Well it is and it isn't. it pulls great. The side walls are paper thin and dent very easily so he had his trailer foamed insulated to add ridgedness and to help protect interior yet help keep weight down since it was un finished. Issues have been that the little stuff is coming loose such as trim pieces, door spring issues and the mentioned denting. If you go with a Neo I suggest that the inside skirt boards be higher then an RMK Pros back bumper. These fabulous RMK's are so light and nimble that they tend to bounce around in a trailer a bit if not secured. (we never tie our sleds down). If you have Yamahas I suspect the denting issues will not exsist but add the 16" on centers for the floor to support those beasts. Neo will let you make changes and upgrades. The neo 4 place inline pulls way better then my RnR 2 place clam shell and mileage is a little better with the inline yet hauling 2 more sleds.

I was planning to add some electric, rigid foam board insulation and an interior skin so that will help with the side walls. Glad to hear about the way it pulls and mileage. Still thinking about the Stealth and will price them out as an exact apple to apple match if I can before I buy one, but for now leaning the NEO way.

Most bang for the buck.

we did the neo low deck over sled trailer/car hauler.
we did not spray walls but used 1in foil faced celutex . worked well just under 1/16 light bigger than the wall framing so after paneling is up deff ridged .we had diamond plate sheets cut like 16in for base board.
