SAVING THEIR AZZES....for millions of dollars you can show respect or go straight to double h e tooth picks...just wondering if other have on here...I know in my town they are taking a huge hit with many doing this (my town is 7 miles long by 3 miles wide with the population of green bay wis also so no small potatoes)....that's why all of a sudden roger said to stand afterall...bunch of over paid pansies if you ask me....buck em down to reality now and give the extra to WOUNDED WARRIORS and WIVES and KIDS struggling at home and the HOMELESS VETERANS is what I say...what say you?

PS...get some stones and give your opinion instead of just reading....unless your scared of VS....ROTFLMAO

I believe a man/woman wearing a helmet and defending this country should make more that a man wearing a helmet defending a football. Haven't watched NBA for years because of their gangster like attitude and will do the same for NFL because of their disrespect of vets and country. Don't like it here, hey, I'll help them pack!

Well, I doubt this thread will see the light of day much longer being political in nature but I'll play along. I honestly don't know what they're protesting, I think it started out with police corruption, then morphed into inequality, then that silly "Unity" thing that flopped at Lambeau with the crowd chanting U S A. They really don't have a stated reason for sitting/kneeling other than it angers a majority of Americans. Is it their right? Yes it is...but I wouldn't try it in North Korea, China, or Russia. My point being that we have many things that we can improve on but no other country in the history of the world has done more for the downtrodden, handicapped, and the poor.

Lastly, the NFL and the owners screwed the pooch on this one. IMO they should have stopped it right away or moved the teams into the locker rooms during the anthem.

And that's all I got to say about that...carry on.

I wonder how many people will never watch a game again? I remember growing up my father always watched the Brewers, After a MLB strike sometime in the 90's I don't think he has watched a game since.

Just my two cents: The whole point of standing for the National Anthem, IS UNITY. So, you want to proclaim your UNITY with everyone? STAND and RESPECT those that have given you the right to protest, when the National Anthem is played. Protest any other time, but that one point that should show your UNITY with everyone.

If you can't stand and show respect for all that was lost to make this the greatest country on earth then one way ticket to whereversville. See how much they pay you to play a game elsewhere. I used to really enjoy the NFL as well....

Exactly NA not the time to protest anything and the NFL screwed up big time by letting this happen. The players need to find another way to protest whatever it is that bothers them but NOT during the NA!

I don't have problem with protest itself. That's what we fight for, FREEDOM. Do I think it's disrespectful, ABSOLUTELY!
They need to ask themselves what are they accomplishing with this "protest". Nothing that's what.
Want change, quite your million dollar gravy job and do something about it.
Maybe LeBron and Kapernick, or anyone for that matter, should spend weekend walking the beat in a blue uniform in Chicago and see how much "respect" they get doing that job.

I'm still not sure what they are protesting as I've read so many diff versions. When standing is mandatory ya know what's next ? They will turn their backs to the flag. And why do not other sports feel it necessary to do the same ?
IDK maybe they do. I don't watch any sports.

It's a shame that nothing is sacred anymore including the National Anthem! If professional sports players want to make a statement then walk out! Hit the streets, go to DC and demand rights! Be a leader of the movement! Oh wait, all of the above could cost them their careers, paychecks and lifestyles! They can find a way to make an impact without disrespecting those who fought for our freedom! At least one thing in this country needs to be sacred again and it should start with our flag and National Anthem!

I don't watch NFL games anymore. They have gotten too long. There is a commercial after just about every play. And the officiating and a lot of rules are just stupid. And I truly believe the whole thing is rigged to generate ratings. The worst thing about their Anthem protest is that we now have grade schoolers protesting also. It is just stupid. Do your protesting on your own time.

Lou Holyz said it best in an interview I seen. The football players on the field should have one thing on their mind. Winning. If they want to do some good go to the inter city schools and talk to the kids. Tell them that they mad good choices in life like not doing drugs, not joining gangs and working hard to get in the NFL.

Thank you to all of the Veterans! My condolences to all of the families that lost a loved one in defense of this great nation!! Without them, we wouldn't have the freedom to snowmobile.
