NGK or Champion plugs

I work for a small engine manufacturer and our engines are designed with a certain plug in mind. Most of what we build has NGK's but we do have a few models that run champions. Have had calls from dealers of engines not running properly because they had a different plug than what is recommended. Change it back to the correct plug and the problem goes away. I run NGK in my Yamaha with almost 11,000 miles on it. Only time I had a problem with them is when I put the wrong oil in it one time. Run what the oem recommends and you should not have any issues.

Go to Beaver Bay Sports in Beaver Bay Mn up on the north shore of mn. Polaris and ski doo dealer.. stopped in last march so my bud could try and find out what plug to use or cross reference for NGK in his older Polaris sled. He talked to a couple minneapolis Polaris dealers and they couldn't help him or didn't know how to find info.. anyway, he asked the young gal at beaver bay if she could look up what NGK plug or champion plug would work. Without hesitation, she rattled off the NGK number and said dont use champions, they're for lawnmowers. We talked to her for a while, and she was a human snowmobile encyclopedia! ! If Minnesota ever gets snow again, stop there when you ride. Great place. The most knowlegable dealer I've ran into..

^ depends on what motor is in the "older polaris" the indys only liked NGK BR8ES or BR9ES....the Libertys run champions only IMO. Years of working at Polaris dealer ships and now my own business it makes a difference and the #1 thing i do it make sure the correct plug in in for the engine. Even if it doesnt come in for it i give customers the plugs just to make sure they are happy and it keeps running right. On our first trip this season we had a 01 xc 500 that kept fouling plugs in the group and i looked the guy was running NGK BR9ES and i gave him a set of Champion RN57YCC and he never had an issue the rest of the weekend

Same kindof question...now i have a polaris switchback 600 carbed...i usually use NGK...but i know Champion uses a plug just for the liberty engine...but what is the number for the champion for a liberty 600?
