www.usdebtclock.org read all the lines, best one is in the bottom right hand corner cause if your a taxpayer your pending liability is over $1,000,000 and that doesn't include your state or city unfunded liabilibily. Way too many in the wagon and not enough pulling and you can go to each States debt also. Gotta Luv It

I never realized how bad it is in Detroit. How did this happen to America? Detroit started the American middle class and now.....? Someone dropped the ball on this one.

Agreed 100% on both. I'm just sayin' Detroit's woes started a long time ago and can be attributed to a lot more than just unions.

true, Detroit rode the wavw out as far as they could, sad part is we have this mess in our state that needs cleaning up. Sections of the once great city now look like bombed out Gary Ind. Well at least the sky is no longer yellow over either. (you need to be in your 50's to remember that).

Sadder yet is that past administrations have been incompetent to fix it and view any outside attempts to help as an intrusion.....but then cry "foul" and act surprised when nobody jumps at their pleas for help when they finally figure out they can't do it on their own.

Probably a big reason that Cadillac decided to found the city there back in 1701.
