Just woke up from a nap and this is NOT my hotel room...And where the **** is my sled? :)

Mitchell and I hit the Freda Loop around 2AM Sunday morning and had a blast. Good to see all of you that attended, I had fun with you all and am looking forward to next year already!

Now....Who's got my liver? I think it might have fallen out on the trail somewhere. Please return it in its original pink condition in lieu of the wrinkled up grey one I lost.

Much obliged...

Prop- the liver looked to be in topnotch shape when I saw ya pullin out of the Ramada at 2am for the ride on the Freda! lol

It actually was Mr. King. But, not looking for any trouble, we kept it under 60 all the way to the loop and back. However, once on the loop, it was giddeeup time with jacket unzipped halfway and all the helmet vents open!

Late night/early morning/dark trail riding is the best. Oncoming headlights reduce ALL chance of a "header". Some people were counting sheep when we did that, Mitchell and I....We were counting trees! :)

Had a great time riding and seeing everyone at the Ride-In. Not so good here in Eagle River, WI. We put on 140 miles today on trails that weren't too bad...except that they were hard packed and didn't have much loose snow on top. I was cooking my hifax this morning before I put down my ice scratchers. I had them down almost all day, or the hifax would have been gone for sure. Burned off about 30% as it was. Riding 2-up must be a lot harder on the hifax. The other couple riding with us on single sleds didn't have much trouble. I went to the hardware store and picked up a couple bolts to put through the back corner of my skis to scratch up some more ice/snow chips. Hopefully it'll help. That's the morning job.

The internet here sucks too. I can't believe a resort full of condos doesn't have them all wired to high speed internet. We can pick it up from the the Resort Center, if we're in one bedroom of the condo. That's it. I don't know how they ever rent out any of the units.

I'll post a few pictures of the Ride-in when I get home...Saturday or Sunday.

It was great to see you all again! Next year I think we need a picture of me standing between Prop and Bigvin, damn those guys are tall!

Dave, a little trick Scottiking showed me on his sled, he drilled a hole in the back part of his ski, near the inside edge, and bolted a track stud in there. It does a pretty good job of throwing snow back towrd the hyfax also, that combined with scratchers.

Ok - finally made it out here - but I can't get back into the groove of work or anything. I'm wiped out! When do I get to go back to the UP and do it again???
As always - it was a blast! Scottiking and Doospunk - it was nice to meet you guys in person! :) Skylar - love the idea of a pic of you b/t Jeff and Randy - that would be a hoot!!! (don't feel bad - I know how you feel!!!)

I got my pictures downloaded - however - I'm too tired (and downright swamped here at work) to get them uploaded yet. One of these days!

Bradzoo - wish we could get out to Hulbert would be nice to see some of the "family" from MI!! Have fun and a few drinks for me @ Shirley's! Tell Kelly, Larry and Chris Hi for me!) (also give them a hug - but I know you won't hug Larry for me!! or maybe you would? ROFL)

Dave - did you guys get any of the snow that fell here yesterday and today? I'd say we got close to 2 or 3 inches at my house. Might have to sneak out on the lake and go for a spin tonight!

ok - back to work :( or perhaps I'll just stare out my 9th floor window and daydream that I'm back in the telephone lines trying to stay out of trouble............

Skylar - Thanks for the tip bud. I had read that somewhere before and went to the hardware store last night after our ride and got some 5/16" bolts. The back part of my skis are tipped up a little. Tonight after our ride, I moved the bolt back a little, to the very corner of the ski. It was throwing some snow out today, but I couldn't see how much was getting in front of the track. It was a much better day. I only had the scratchers down for a while this morning. They work good, but I always worry about all the sand and possible rocks that get thrown under there too. It was "lightly" snowing today, about a 1/2" to an inch. That combined with trails that had seen some traffic, made for a much better day for the hyfax. I don't think they wore much today. I don't mind changing out a set, I just don't want to have to do it out in the snow. I'd rather they lasted the week and I can do it in the warm garage.

Andie - About a 1/2" to an inch here in ER. I don't know what we got back home. Maybe if we picked up enough back there, we can do more riding around home when I get back. We have 4 days in now, with 3 to go before heading home on Sauturday.

Ok I looked at the money and i'm in for Hulbert for the 12th. Be up there for the Saturday ride and 2 nights of party with Biskit at Shirlies....

It was so nice to see everyone and meet some of the new people. I'm in next year for sure. You all need to make the summer bash. Almost as much fun less the snow.....

Another good day of riding. They're all good, some just better than others. Nothing like the UP, but we had good snow today. The inch or so we got yesterday really helped too. Lots of white stuff today instead of snirt, and hyfax hasn't worn since Monday. I think I'll make it to the weekend and warm garage back home. :)

I must be getting old. With the sun shining bright today, my neck and many other muscles hurting and getting tired on the way back this afternoon, I found my self thinking "are we there yet?". Two beers and two Advil after we got back and now I'm just tired...and old.

Scott - Yep, it sure can't hurt. I have a 5/16" bolt in there now. I'm catching heck from the wife because I have 3 sets of holes in the skis now, trying different locations. It's staying where it's at this time. Actually, it has to. No place left to drill a new one. LOL

DA UP - Boy, we sure got spoiled riding up there. Too bad this week down here couldn't have been BEFORE the ride-in. Week 5. That's when our friends have the condo. Oh well, it's still good riding and sure as heck beats work. Well, unless you don't have a job. Sorry.

Juls - I sure hope you can post some good news soon!!!!! We missed ya in Hancock...thought about you guys a number of times. Hopefully next year!

OK, I think I'm pushing my internet limit for the evening. Better go be sociable.

What a great time had at the "Ride In". " Winter Time " gave us a great day of riding. "Big Vin" great music. I didn't win the Beer, Big Vin CD and McDonalds certificates, so I live a little longer! lol. I did miss the "Chris Burant video" by fifty cents in the auction. (tough crowd). Hope to do it all over again next year! Great friends, Great Times! oh! Skylar I bought all the strudles at Krupps before I left for home. Sorry. Also Tiges is minus 36 pickled eggs for the ride home. not counting the dozens eaten while there. that many eggs is not good for the system. lol

Actually Smurfrider hauled them home in his truck. Pity those guys. Things must of gotten a little more blue in there. Not to say we didn't have "side effects" from the eggs the night before. lol
