Juls.. your advice was magicial

WOW Serena, "magical"! Thanks! Anything I can do to help and to know that I helped you in some way to live your dream makes me HAPPY! :D

Ron - I just need someone one to do the IV!!! I can't help it, I read your stuff and I giggle! :)

So this week has been a whopper for me... I started to feel icky Sunday and then Monday and Tuesday was icky sick and worked from hom. Finally today I said no - I'm not working, I'm resting. So I am resting... enjoying the sunshine through the window while I cuddle on the couch with my blankey. Hopefully today will be the day I feel better and can go to work tomorrow. I haven't been icky sick like this in years! I am worried that the kids will get sick... hopefully they won't!

Going to watch TV and drink my water and eat dry Cheerios. So far... they are staying put... Good Cheerios!

I guess I have been MIA on this site for a while. I have been busy. I just got back on Sunday from a sea kayak symposium in Grand Marais, MI. The weather was awesome and the symposium was awesome. I love it in Grand Marais. It is the perfect venue for a sea kayak symposium. However, according to emails sent from my account, I was apparently vacationing in the U.K. and was mugged and needed money. Yep, a hacker got into my email account, changed my password and sent spam emails to everyone in my contact list. What a mess! I just realized yesterday that he also had all my incoming emails forwarded to another email address that he set up. I was wondering why I wasn't getting any emails! Someone like that really needs to get a life!

I am totally sick of the rain. Lately it seems like it rains every day. It makes cutting the grass a challenge. Last night we had a nasty hail storm. Some of the hail was the size of golf balls. It took a while for the piles to melt off my deck.

Serena - Congrats on the new job and the move!

Ron - you crack me up!

Andie - Great pictures. I love the Black Hills. We used to snowmobile there once upon a time. It was wonderful if the snow was good, but we got skunked out a couple of years because it got too warm for riding.

Well, it's lunch time and I'm hungry! Later...

Paycheck!

Just close your eyes and think about the gas money you're make'n for those winter rides. The days are getting shorter and the average temps are dropping. Can't see it yet, but I just know winter is coming.

Tell them you can't hold tolerances anymore due to the thermal issues the heat is having on the machine, thus they should install a/c.

Tried that on already Nate, really sucks too cause today I'm running an ID/OD grinder, grinding form rolls that are +.0002",-.0000 tolerance, told them they get what they get. BTY its 110 now, hard too see with the sweat running in your eyes all the time, by the time 2nd shift starts it will be about 115, hotter out by the heat treat ovens. I have the CNC's turned off its to hot to run them. Just 1 more hour to go.

Dave, I just can not wait.

Brad: Holy crap, how the heck do they expect you to get anything done with that kinda of heat. If my room jumps by 5 degrees, my machines are usually screwed for our tolerances. Why in the world don't they just put a/c in the building, makes everyone happy?

Building is too big Nate, but it would be nice, we have 16 big heat treat ovens that creat most of the heat, that and they put in a new indoor dust collector for the whole building that exhaust's into my area it sucks the heat from the center of the shop. That and it has already puked twice filling my area with dust, killed the computer on the CNC lathe before we got it shut down, luckly everthing else got shut down. Just poor planing on people who don't know anything and won't listen. But all is good cause I'm home in the AIR!!!

HAPPY HUMPY DAY!!!

I can't believe that July is nearly DONE! Haydays is not far off! COOL!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Dylan's birthday is Friday - he's stoked. He told me and Jim for his birthday it was a "bikini poster". O M G! So yeah, I went ahead and ordered him a Lego set! Bikini poster... arg.

Dustin is officially on parole! He has to give me a daily report of his activities. His first day of freedom he decided to go on a bike ride and jump his bike off the dock into the lake. "BUT MOM I had my life jacket on!" That don't matter Dustin - you were by yourself - if something had gone wrong you had no back up. ARG! Boy needs to THINK it through before he doesn't stupid stuff... consequences...

Work is crazy busy and I LIKE IT! My contract is up the end of November, I am not counting on an extension or a permanent hire. I am going with it ending so I don't get crushed later. In the meantime, I am getting some kickbutt experience and I continue to get phone calls on my resume. I can't act on anything until September (had to give 90 day commitment) but I am keeping all my options OPEN! The job boards are still really slow, so having this contract is a blessing! I am networking there as well… making sure the important people know that I am there and want to stay there!

Finally the rain has stopped, the sun is back out and the sauna has been turned off… for now. Holy crap it's been GROSS! I really need snow.

HAPPY HUMPY DAY!

Wow has it been busy here at the resort!! Finely have a week with hopefully low maintenance. 1 group rented the whole place cabins and campground for 8 days, so no changing over cabins for me. :) With the break I'm gonna try to catch up on some stuff, visit with some friends, maybe even do some fishing or 4-wheeling .....or do just nothing.

Have to brag a little........My Jam cupboard is looking great, the berries are unreal this year lots of jars of jam :D We've been picking Thimbleberries like crazy and the Blackberries are close to ready also....I love Jamming!!!

Have a Great weekend Everyone!!!!! Think Snow!!

Oh..I'm ready!!!

And, I'll be there in less than a month to raid that jam cupboard. Assuming I don't get another ban. :) Perhaps we can work out a trade for some of my world famous grilled bacon wrapped venison backstraps.

HA!

I will be in touch. Figure out if you want to do it at your place or ours. Perhaps if we do it there, we can arrange a guided Paulding Light tour (minus the switch flipper) to terrify my kids! Either way, let's plan a night of drink and chow!

I have a feeling if I told you. you wouldn't want it. If you tried it, you would love it.

(Just don't think about dead deer meat, marinated in my secret recipe for 12 hours, then wrapped in bacon, seasoned then grilled)
