With so little base the increase sun exposure is more of an issue than if we have a deeper base. Makes sense. Just pisses me off we are even in this situation. So frustrating.

55 degrees F is typical ground temperature from below. The frost is melting from below in conditions like this. We need sub zero to keep it pushed down.Very true.

Exactly, one day of 40 isn’t going to do anything to the frost line it will probably be in the ground until the end of April or early May.I think ders plenty frost down der to last the season.
