Hopeful we FINALLY get a break after January 15th the next Whitmer deadline. Another 2 to 4 weeks of restrictions will bury what’s left or they’ll just pack it in for the season or be gone forever. Think about it no food on order have to start from scratch prolly a limited burger type menu if at all. Northwoods restaurants start shutting down mid March market goes dead with the melt. Getting very close to do or die date.

Dr. Flipflop said this morning that we may be back to some kind of normalsy next February, ummmmm THIS CANNOT HAPPEN!! many places wont survive even though CDC (the science....that we SHOULD follow) states that 2% of spread contributed to bars, restaurants and eateries, yet this is the largest demographic of small businesses disappearing as result of closures and restrictions. I don't think a majority of americans even need the $600 stimulus check and hoping and praying the $2000 check dies. Give it to people and small businesses who TRULY need it!! This is really sad and I hope Whitmer comes to her senses, follows the science and allows restaurants to function normally during the short, short season they so rely on. And with the lack of snow so far its just adding insult to injury! hopefully this will stop SOON!!

I'm not sure about michigan, but its possible as long as Whitmer keeps things locked down in a state of emergency she collects $50 million per month from the federal goverment, just like minnesota is, and she can spend it any way she wants, without legislature approval. If this is the case, don't expect anything to happen.

Hilarious how you can gather in a heated tent. LOL!!! Holy Whoa, it's just so freaking funny. Someone please explain to me how it differs from simply walking in and sitting down. OMG, it's so stupid there isn't even one word that's offensive enough to type or say........

I looked thru the threads and didnt see one and thought it might be a good idea to post what places are open, or allow outside eating. If you comment please tell if inside, outside or carry out only.

Rise N Shine cafe in Niles Michigan (trail passes behind them) open every day cept tuesday from 6 a.m. till 1 p.m.
Inside dining.

Stand Up, Stand strong and stay open!!
Why give the officials a heads up who is allowing people to dine inside? Take this sbit down . Post as outdoor dining

We ran into quite a few places that had big bonfire setups. We just did basic food at most of those locations. Stuff that you could eat while standing around. We also did a few overnight stays and ordered take out food. The Mariner had their normal full menu available as take out. JW's had just started doing takeout. I honestly don't know their full menu, but they had a pretty good selection. Antonio's in Bergland was busy with their take out. It was a bit longer wait, even with pre-ordering.
Breakfast seemed to be a little more difficult to find. One of my riding buds is Kevin Bacon, (that's an inside joke with our gang), so we always had bacon to cook. We just found places we could use a hot plate and pan. We asked to borrow a toaster and they brought one out.
We didn't push too hard to find anything fancy. Stuck to the basic belly fillers during riding and it worked out fairly well.
I expected to see people doing a bonfire for their group meal. I did not see that happen. I remember doing those as a kid and it was kinda fun. Of course, us kids had it easy, we didn't have to do the planning etc. Maybe we will start to see some outdoor cooking. Who knows? I did see a few sno coaches on the trail.
