Lots of members and visitors on here are from the Chicagoland area and your humble servant sits here just 40 miles south of Lambeau. The Lions are the favorites and the Vikings will blow their horn every chance they get. Should be a fun season, glad to see football back and it's a sign that the seasons will be soon changing.

Odds makers give the Bears a 1-point win in Chicago. Your thoughts and predictions are welcome here.

No idea ,no Rogers, and Bear roster has been upgraded from Dollar Store tear down of last season. Bears have to learn to win get some respect should be more competitive with improving talent. Maybe 7 wins for Bears this year probably the youngest team in the league. Poles has good early draft choices for next draft and he believes in team building via the draft. Detroit should win the North but seems to be snake bit, Vikings played over their heads last season but have a chance and Packers are as good as Love can be at QB

Can't wait for NFL Sunday.
Pack is going to be solid I feel this year. Love will be fine,,, learning curves of course. Mainly reading real defense's. He's got all the tools to be a solid QB in this league if he has the mental make up. The Pack will need to ride their "great" defense this year more than ever and if Barry don't have them guys ready to play,, the right personnel in the correct positions then get the hell of of town by week 4. No reason the D shouldn't be a top 5. I fee the Packers kicking game namely FG's and extra points will be an ongoing issue.
Vikings are definitely regressing,, they're not winning 9 one score games or whatever it was last year. I'm gonna say they don't make playoffs this year.
Detroit looks good but ,,,, ehhh it's Detroit.
Da Bears. It all resides with Fields if he can actually complete passes 10 yards down field. Apparently the Bears brass thinks so as they only gave him like three possessions in the preseason. I would of played him a heck of alot more. We shall see.

Week 1 Pack vs Dabears in prime time.
Don't get much better.

Glad it's back! Seems like it's basically a toss up for the betters then. I'll go with Packers by 3.
Love showed a lot of composure during the preseason which was encouraging. Not a lot of defenses blitzing and pressure though, so we'll see what happens under pressure. I'm expecting ups an downs, which I'm fine with. Especially with being the youngest team in the league!
I'm thinking it will be Detroit's division to win this year, but it's Detroit like you said!
Funny all the Bears players comments on how they hate the Packers. Same ol with them. Half of them have never played them! Haaha!
Go Pack!

I'm feeling better about the Packers now that they have been unsaddled by Rodgers moving on. I have to think the whole organization feels he same.

Still hating the wokeness path the NFL went down but I watch the games with my family. No sense in ruining the great tradition for them that I enjoyed growing up with. Weekends in the fall mean football. Eff the libtards.

GB is actually the youngest team in the league with an average age of 25.5, Rams at 25.7, and Indy at 25.8 (these are the 3 youngest).

As for whose going to win, I’m leaning GB not just as a fan. Fields, although a fun to watch gadget QB who fantasy owners love, has a 5-20 career record. I don’t care how bad the surrounding team is, I don’t know how a QB that has lost that many games isn’t being threatened to lose his job. He needs to win some games before this Bears team deserves any credit.

Not trying to put down Bears fans but I’m not sure how anyone can expect them to win more than a handful of games? They play 6 division games, in which they might only win 1? Detroit and Minnesota are far better teams, and I’m guessing GB and the Bears will split in their 2 matchups this year. Just my 2 cents. They upgraded at WR but downgraded at RB, and does an upgrade at WR really matter when Fields only threw for 2200 yards last year? (Appx. Half the league average)

100% agree! If you avoid any and all pregame, never watch ESPN, go take a walk at halftime, and only watch your team, you can avoid most of the BS. Like you say, My son grew up watching games with me and having lunch/dinner together, and that's what I will remember - until the Vikings win the Superbowl!:LOL::LOL:

Going to be a long season in Chicago basically gave up. Hope Flus didn’t buy a house in Chicago Bears were a badly coached team lots of penalties and fights on the field. I’m not sure they can recover from this defeat no one there to right the ship. Doesn’t look good. 😒

Packers had just as many stupid penalties. Fields is just not the guy. Too many people watch him with googly eyes because of how he can run with the ball. They might be better off with Trubisky…

Ryan leaf 4-21
Jamarcus Russell 9-22
Justin fields 5-21

No Bears would not be better off with Trubisky and Fields needs to take the 3rd year jump to be a proficient passer we know the wheels are good. Can he do it ?…Idk but if he doesn’t the Bears won’t improve anytime soon.

Bears offensive need to protect Fields ass or he won’t make it through year 3. He was running for his life half the time.

As a starter, Trubisky is 31-24. Fields is 5-21. You sure about that??

Absolutely can’t compare talent around Trubisky to zip around Fields. Fields last year had weekly trades of talent out for draft choices to start rebuilding this season. Football is a team sport Rogers would be in the hospital with Bears O line. Trubisky had talent and was given starting job at Pitt lost it in a few weeks. Trubisky just can’t read defenses maybe Fields can jury still out. Jmo but if Fields doesn’t do well this season he will be gone it’s Poles team Fields not his guy if he’s not the QB of the future Poles will undoubtedly move him. Trubisky riding the pines again.

Trubisky had a better O line and a solid defense no doubt, but he didn’t have any better playmakers around him than fields has had in 3 seasons. Too soon to gather much from 1 game but it’s not looking good for the running back Fields.

Come on Trubisky had Montgomery and Robinson in their prime plus a decent O line, unfortunately the ball sailed 10 yards over their heads. Lol Trubisky free to seek a trade no takers ended up in Buffalo as a back up QB FA for a couple million now a back up in Pitt after naming him #1. Fields can run better than Trubisky more durable has a very strong arm. Question is can Fields get protection and read defenses. That idk?
