Wifey and I stayed there first week of January. When we arrived, the owner was sitting in the lobby. Receptionist was helpful but not overly helpful....owner sensed our frustration and actually helped us carry our bags in. We also ate at the restaurant, it wasn't busy, but service was pretty good.
If you really want things to get better, call and ask for the manager and give them some constructive feedback. I wasn't happy with a couple of things that happened, but I gave them the benefit of a doubt as they just reopened.....if I have the same issues again next trip/next year I will certainly contact the manager or owner......my .02
