Peyton Manning was released by Indy & is checking around for a job. Colts must be drafting Andrew Luck I know I would. Anywho anybody know if Peyton still have any arm strength left or just done & living on the past? Indy guys should be hearing a lot more than the rest of us.

I saw an ad that Home Depot is hiring!? Too mean??

He's an unknown - who knows how he'll be post surgery AND 36. I would think he's got some football left in him - let's see who goes fishing with their wallet open. Let's see what he's willing to take. Not like he NEEDS the money - but would imagine it's a matter of pride.

Heard 12 teams said lets talk but don't know who? If he can't throw not worth a penny if he can throw Bears & Vikes should take a look. I would think Peyton would only consider SB contenders that just need chamionship QB. Peyton can not take a beating so has to go to excellent Offensive minded team.

An unknown? That is totally not true. He is completely known! Your second and third assumptions are correct......post surgery play and age 36. But from the tapes of him throwing practice routes at Duke University I think the question of "can he still throw the rock"? are answered. Now it is ust a question of finding the team that he fits into nicely and vica versa.

Bottom line: he'll be an elite QB again as long as his health i.e. his current neck injury, hold up under all the duress a NFL QB withstands.

Not too mention did you see the list of players released by the Colts since yesterday? The list is longer than my arm, and they aren't second stringers. Joseph Addai, Gary Brackett, Dallas Clark, Curtis Painter, Melvin Bullitt plus the ones they have on free agency: Reggie Wayne-Peytons favorite target, Pierre Garcon-1000yds receiving and prob better than Wayne in the long run, Jeff Saturday, LONG TIME CENTER TO PM, and seven more that include a 11 year veteran to the offensive line and current right guard not too mention Jacob Tamme who was the most productive tight end in the second half of the NFL season . Peyton would have had no more of his go-to-guys left and that spells trouble for your offense.

Irsay is cleaning house just like he said he was going to do. He started with the head coach six weeks ago and he is cleaning the board. Everyone thought he was blowing smoke so he could feel better about letting PM go but now he is proving his point. Either out of spite to prove the sports pundits wrong or because it is what he originally intended to do. Either way it is not a bad direction that the Colts are headed into. And in my opinion, I would take RG3 over Luck. My .02¢

No doubt he will sign with somebody, but his contract will be very incentive laden. It has to be with not knowing how he will respond from the surgery. I don't think the money will be as big a deal to him as being on a contending team. Peyton is much different than your average athlete today who thinks it's all about me!

A big plus to any team if their current salary cap would allow would be a contract with Peyton to entice Reggie Wayne too. What a well known, proven 1-2 punch to have on the offensive side of the ball.

CB, I MEANT that he is an unknown post surgery. Sorry that I wasn't clear enough to make it seem as if anyone, including me, didn't KNOW his past accomplishments.

Seems nobody is mentioning Jeff Saturday. He's a FA too, always been Peyton's center. Can't believe what the Colts are doing. I think Irsay is going crazy...

They should let J Peppers take 2 full on shots on Peyton then see if if he can still throw.lol Never happen but would be a good test for his neck. Peyton will take Jeff Saturday with him key part of no huddle & any receiver he wants if affordable.

Denver taking to him but small upfront on O line. Peyton needs big dudes up front to protect his butt probably won't be Denver not a good match but again only need to get ball to 50 then kick FG in thin air.lol 1 25 yard pass & Peyton on 50 from 25.lol

He has nothing to prove. He should retire now rather than be forced into as he most certainly will. He will get hit and he will get hurt. That being said he will end up in Miami.

I agree with windingtrailgal. After listening to all the "experts" I think there is a 75% chance he is going to AZ. The other 25% to me feels like maybe Miami could be a possible fit too.

Have a good friend who lives in AZ and is a sports NUT...got a message from him, not sure who sent to him - not like a SECRET spy thing, just don't know the source - "6 hours, 30 min. Peyton has left the building in the passenger's sear of Ken Whisenhunt's SUV."

Yes, re-inventing the "Warner" project in AZ seems like where this is heading.

I also retract my assumption that Miami still had a chance after listening to some sports pundits this a.m.

On a lighter note, Randy Moss working out with the 49'ers today. That could be a good target for up and comer, Alex Smith. Not that they have resigned him yet.

Biggest free agency off-season I can remember since watching the NFL. How about you guys?

Hasn't the NFL learned anything about Randy Moss yet? The guy will never change! Cancer in the locker room.

This is true. But you can't argue with his productivity. Granted alot of his numbers were put up in his first few years in the league. But if he can come in and catch just a few balls every game it could be a game changer for a team like San Fran. Not too mention anyone who pays attention to the the attitudes and work ethics of head coaches in the league knows that Jim Harbaugh ain't puttin' up wit NO sh*t! He'll make it clear to RM that there is no drama on his team and he won't have a problem pulling the trigger during the season if he has to. My .02¢
