or have trails maps that have off trail hubs where people can freely off trail in a marked area (on the map)

I've said it before and I'll say it again... you guys don't seem to get it, it doesnt work like that. The majority of the UP is CFR land owned by timber companies aka private property. Start pressing the DNR for maps and you'll start barking up the wrong tree and shutting down the entire show... It's a gray area and currently not frowned upon to ride it, so don't push it! FWIW most of Mass city/Greenland is true private property (not cfr) South of that is national forest both illegal to ride on. Get a plat book and figure it out for yourself...

All I can say is wow, mainly to the comments. How irresponsible to say what some of you are saying. A level of respect, decency and common sense is void from this thread. Every aspect of society is in decline and it shows. Message boards, tv, radio, snowmobile trails etc,,,,,nothing is exempt anymore. I used to post on this site frequently and very little anymore because of the lack of RESPECT. I don't need it, don't want it and now despise it. I feel sorry for JD in all that he puts up with day in and day out. Lenny's final Words on JDSC: “The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.”**Matthew‬ *12:37‬ *

Well said Lenny!

Very well said Lenny. 2 of my older, but very wise friends each had a saying. "You have too much to H--- with you, and Hurray for me in this world anymore", and "Just wait, You haven't seen nothing yet"!!! And that 40 years ago.

By what I have seen as in the increase of the "mountain'' or deep snow sleds in the UP in the past few years, and the problem of off trail issues, something is going to come about sooner now than later. Probably not for the better for any of us either. Off trail, or on trail riders, we will all be effected. Rules, laws enacted, enforcement, who knows. But it's coming, you can bet on that. There is "off trail" riding going on all over the UP now. Just wait!!! Then we will witness the "blame game"!!! I only wish Canada was closer to home for me.

lenny,

we know each other and alot of others on here..so although i agree there is a little bit of venom out here..most of it is just for fun..aka sb and i..i certainly dont think it to the point that you no longer need to post, as i was wondering where uve been..

there still is alot of good info, the ride board, and just some good old funny stuff that happens..

as you know the personal attacks are usually deleted, but i think the mods do a pretty good job..

so i guess poeple should try and have a little more respect, and all will be fine..john has nothing to worry about..

I only off trail in the National Forest... Never on land lease. These guys need to know where they are.

Canada has all the same issues with trail closings because of trespassing, I'm a part of an Ontario trail group.

I don't disagree one bit. Canada is so much less crowded is what I was referring to. And yes you had better behave in Canada, they will, and do enforce their laws.

I will guarantee that not all of the yellow on that map is free range to ride and that there are many spots that aye private property on the map so you still have to know where you are and don't think all power lines and pipelines are public they also run on private land. So your blanket statement is wrong!

I see this statement a lot and what personally bugs me about it is "yes I did passed out a lot of trophys" but every damn kid got one and deserved it because he joined participated and stuck with it till the end... Its unfortunate this statement exists but the majority did not join or participate and so in reality not everyone got the trophy...

thats
fine as long as its a participation trophy but I think its stupid that they dont keep score and no team wins in some sports/leagues.... even when you play for "fun" you are playing to win right? I am 52 yrs old and I think my little league all star team trophy is in the basement packed away somewhere, we showed up and kept score lol...

The early learning levels of sports are the only ones I know off that really don't keep score...

LOL the ole "play to win" statement... If you weren't playing for the fun of it first off you really wouldn't have care that you even won...
