place to stay between munising & teh falls

Is there anywhere to stay that between Munising and Teh falls that has trail access and close to restaurants? something that may split that difference between the two?

Pine Stump, Halfway Lake Resort or Duffy's Motel are all favorites of mine. Way closer to the falls than Munising though.

I would stay in Grand Marais. Little extra drive, but one of the only towns in EUP that have multiple bars/restaurants (including breakfast) to choose from, nice gas station, etc.

Munising to Tfalls ~150 miles. Grand Marais is ~65 miles from Munising/Wetmore.

In Grand Marais and Pine Stump, yes. And fuel at both locations.

Yes, the breakwall, Lake Superior brewing Dunes saloon, and grand Marais tavern are all easily accessible by sled

no, secondary trip in case conditions wont allow one. big bag trip not until february. looking for a possible alternative destination and yes return to same hotel but would prefer to stay somewhere between munising and teh falls, preferably more centralized between and near places with good easy access eats

I would also recommend Grand Marais, everything you would need all accessible by sled. I will be there staying 5 miles South of Grand Marais at the Greenhaven Lodge (corner of the Adams trail & 77) the 11th - 18th of January.

GM makes sense. In town there are a couple bed options as well as outside of town. The crazy 8 trails can be a blast.
