Well, we came home with another first place trophy in the Shawano tournament this weekend! Went 2-0-1 in pool play (tied against a tough Fond du lac team). Then, Beat De Pere in the first round of bracket and beat Shawano in the semis to ironically face off against Fond du lac again in the championship! Held them off 4-2 for the win, and got a cool pic with our grizzlies and the Fondy team together! 20-3-2 on the year going into the Plover finale next weekend.

Well, we brought home a 2nd place finish in the Plover tournament! Incredible way to end a 24-5-2 season in arguably one of the toughest tournaments in the state. To come from a town that doesn’t even have a high school, and make a run at the championship in the Plover finale is an incredible feat. We faced off against a tough Sugar River Bombers team (New Glarus, WI) who was 34-6-2 and the #2 rated 10u travel team in the state. We ran out of pitching and steam but happier than heck to make it there. My little dude ended the year batting .680 with 51 hits and 49 RBIs, super proud of him! 53FD2EE8-45A4-4D36-8491-A2E303A6408D.jpeg

Great season! By all accounts, this was a pretty good baseball team and you’re justifiably proud of your son’s and the team’s achievements. Well done!

Our youngest grandson played in a 15AAA all-star game this weekend in the Twin Cities. Had a good game, which was nice to see, as he’s coming back from a mild concussion and hairline facial fractures after taking a fastball in the face a few weeks back. The kid can’t get enough baseball though, he’s already looking forward to the fall ball league.

It will be really fun to see your son develop over the next few years. He obviously has a good eye and great hand/eye coordination, not to mention power. As the pitching speed ramps up, I think he’s going to hit some even more impressive shots.

P.S. Love the team name.
