Plenty of Riding to be had.

Probably got about 8 inches of very dense snow over the weekend. There would be excellent riding to be had yet and no worry of heavy traffic. It looks like the middle of winter out there yet, so if any of you want to continue to scratch that itch now would be a great time to do that!

I can't say that any other than the multi use trails are legal to ride like the Nichols trail. However they've extended the season in the past so I don't see anyone having a issue riding what is still good. 3 days in a row I've had riders come from Sidnaw and they were all happy. We've certainly lost some since my original post but there's riding to be had.

Thank you Kip much appreciated. Do you think I would be able to park in your lot and ride from there on Saturday?

I don't know if it's necessary a park or a runway. It's close to Pat's. The one question I don't know yet is can you make it past south range on 3. The snow always gets a little thinner just past south range for a bit then gets deeper again until you get to Houghton.

Not on a sled, but my son and I are heading to the Yoop for the day Saturday. Breakfast at Suomi, waterfalls, Lake Superior, Victoria Dam, Krupps and maybe the drags in South Range.

I ended up parking in Mass. Should of probably went north of the bridge but I always prefer to be on the sled over sitting in the truck. We ended up with 90 miles not bad for April. They went out and closed all the gates on any trail that's not the BN trail. First I have seen that in the few times I have ridden in April. The 109 they have saw horses up with trail closed sign. From everything I saw people are respecting the closed gates. Still pretty solid base overall but trails took a little beating with the sun out in the afternoon but that's is to be expected. That will be a wrap for me on this season. The good part is made 2 trips with the sled actually not giving me any issues.
