Pod or not to pod

I started on my sled and I noticed the rubber between the carb and the air box is bad do I fix it or put pods on it? I don't really care about noise because I only ride off trail.

from my understanding you'll need that airbox or re-jetting is required. I wanted to dump my airbox but everyone I asked told me not to. I assume when you say pods you mean the small air cleaners for each carb?

What kinda sled? i'd never run pods unless i was forced to i.e. race sled with different motor... They suck in hot air, belt dust can still find its way through them things.

no pods they will deff suck hot air .
I only used on drag sleds .we could hold the nos on when the tree started to light and it would blow out the side of pods till u hammered down made for some sick hole shots.
even then I used extension tubes to get them up from behind motor and closer to intake
