I hope the only change they make is a walk in freezer in every store full of pizza and red meat . then it will truly be a 1stop shop for guy trips . I love the man mall

Menards did that already just enough food stuff to get a single guy by. Frozen pizza, cereal, milk, juice, box food, snacks stuff like that. When they first did it thought hey great idea.

Pretty sure it is true I heard it on the morning news not sure for how much but I think I heard in the Billions thought it sounded high. But maybe not pretty huge company. Thought I heard at one time one of the largest family owned companys in the country

It's Blain's Farm and Fleet that was bought out. Mill's Fleet Farm is still a privately held company.

where do u think I get lunch most days lol. I buy all my pop there. best price on SoBe in town don't think to many week days go by in a yr I am not in a menards .
think I have over 2g in rebate checks and contractor rebate checks waiting to be spent there in my desk . but u cant buy carbides or sea and snow or belts at menards

Yes, Fleet Farm, a.k.a. "The Man Mall" is being purchased by a private equity firm. This private equity group also owns some food retailers so it could be possible, and perhaps likely they put in a refrigerated offering into their stores. Personally, I think that would be a great idea. Menards really fubared their entrance into offering food items and if Fleet Farm would get into this, they will likely do it well.

Mills Fleet Farm is being purchased, not Blains Farm and Fleet. And, no disrespect to Menards lovers by my above comment. I too shop there often. I wish they would have put more refrigeration into their food retail space. They did it on the cheap with self-contained units and could have made it much better.

No, it's Fleet Farm that was sold. Mills is keeping their auto dealerships and a small part of the stores it's KKR that bought it for 1.3 billion. The problem with KKR is they are known to buy good companys, load them up with debt, take their equity and sell them. Sure hope they don't do that to FF.

Trust me, Farm and Fleet will now suck. The private equity firm will promise not to change anything but all they will do is cut all expenses including most of the management and most of the quality products, try to make the books look great, and then sell to some other investor that will do more of the same. Do you think a New York investment firm gives a crap about the people that actually work and shop there? This sucks.

Who here ever walked into a tractor supply co. Store and leave empty handed. I will go to Meijer and they actually stock the items. Suspect fleet farm will do the same. I also have "Family farm and home here and the say they are not part of fleet farm. ( I was asking about sea and snow). Lol

Now back to the conversation, Poo has cash. Diversify. As long as they don't pull an AMF they will be fine. Take baby steps.

I own no software that says Yamaha, ride Yamaha but stopped with the OEM logo branded stuff in 1998. I buy the best sled brand that meets my needs from the best dealer of that brand. I would not buy a coat that has huge Polaris branded or Yamaha branded either. Far as I know Kilm still says Klim & probably would not be in a doo shop if said Polaris on it. Keep the 509 & Klim brands if going horizontal otherwise limited market at least for me.
