I would go the 2.6 if yiu are going to use it at all out west. I use a 2.6 on trail all the time with no issue have for a Ling time was 2.25 for a bit but from around 09 to now 2.6 every time .
That 2 is fine for the up but you get a few days of no base 5 foot plus you will be in deep regret . I see it like this I want the sled to work best where I really want to be and will suffer the rest of the time because really I am just passing time there any way .
