I'm planning out an early March trip and starting to look at the Polaris Ride Command map to help with that effort. I notice their western U.P. map doesn't have any icons for food, hotels or gas stations. We've never been riding up there, but based on forum posts - and Google maps - I'm fairly confident there are restaurants, hotels and gas stations up there.
So what's up with Polaris' app in this regard? Does the app's lack of comprehensive information mean most of you primarily rely on hardcopy maps for food/hotels/gas? Can you still trust their map info?
I'm comfortable using hardcopy maps, it's just a hassle to stop and get them out...then put them away. So much easier to pull the phone out and do a quick check. Are there other apps or tools that you rely on for trail accuracy, as well as hotel/gas/food options along the way? Thanks.
