800's seem to have a bad rep. Lots of people had trouble with them. But then others had no trouble at all, so...?? But the 600 is almost bullet proof. Supposedly in the 2015 the 800 was redesigned to solve all the issues. I guess we will see. Regular Rush vs. Pro-R? My thought is, why would you buy a sled with that much suspension & not have the best shocks? Kinda like buying a Ferrari that has a 4 cylinder.

I have a 11 pro r 600 and love it. The most fun snowmobile to date. There may be better trail sleds but not sure one more fun to ride. My best way to describe is a mixture of a 4 wheeler, bike, and sled. They take some time to dial in and require rider input. You can rip corner to corner up front on seat or get to back and keep skis up. Suspension really soaks up big bumps and moguls. The 600 is very quick 0-60 usually 1st sled out of hole but loses steam on top end and big bores walk on by. Very fun but not too good in powder it transfers weight too much and digs.

Dont even bother with anything pre AXYS....just not worth it due yo Polaris's customer friendly pricing structure.
I honestly thought Polaris was going to drop the Rush experiment in 2015 but instead they improved everything that needed improving including the 800 mill...
All while ADDING to the "fun factor"

I've had ProR and ProS- they're both great. If you can get a good deal on a 12 or 13 ProR with low miles go for it. Axys is improved, but it was also a lot of marketing hype from polaris. The new 800 seems to run pretty smooth and uses a bit more oil than the old 800's that were running lean and some blowing up. I never had problems with the old 800 either tho- kept it stock and ran well.

I have a 2012 Pro-R 600. I love it. Really fun sled for the trails. It excells is the rough terrain, especially some rough twistys. I can ride it like a dirt bike and let it really soak up the rough stuff. Took a little bit to get the shocks all set up for my style/weight/etc.. but the quick adjustments made it really easy to try out different settings for different snow conditions.

Just purchased a 2015 Rush 800 pro S this year. I have always been a Polaris guy and seriously considered a 2015 Viper. Rode a buddies 2015 Viper and my brothers 2012 Attack at Xmas this year and most of my buddies have made the jump to the Yamaha Four strokes. After researching the new AXIS platform I bit the bullet and bought the sled. I knew I had made the right choice within 10 min of riding the sled. The weight of the sled is around 450 lbs and the suspension is fabulous. I know they had a lot of problems with the pre 2015 Rush 800 and that was why I was so hesitant at first. Since then two buddies of mine that rode my sled have since purchased new Rush's. Both moved from four stroke Yamaha's back to two stoke Polaris's. The weight difference is unbelievable. Love the sled.

I would not buy anything older than a 2012 Rush. I had a 2011 pro/r and my wife has a 2012 pro/r, the 12 drives and handles better than the 11 did. I believe they changed some front end geometry and the rear spring between the two years. I currently ride a 2013 IndySP and not missing my 11 Rush at all. That 13 Indy has the Rush front end with that aluminum tunnel that's fun to throw around. It's old school riding in a fun modern chassis.

I have a 2012 Pro-R 600 and 2012 Pro-R 600 Switchback. Bought the Standard in 2012 new, and then bought the Switchback in 2013 new left over. I came off a Skidoo Rev Renegade 600 ( which I still own). Both sleds have been great, I have 2600 miles on the standard and about 1700 miles on the Switchback. Took some minor modifications to the front limter strap on the switchback to get good ski pressure and stop the constant ski lift under full throttle, but since it has been great.
