It's funny you should ask because I've also been wondering the same thing. Rumor had it that he was from the Ontonagon area but I don't know if this was ever proven.
Some people used to actually get upset at his mangling of the english language but many, including myself, believed it was done intentionally. Most of his posts were hilarous accounts of the high speed antics of him and and his buddy Fuzzball but one post in particular was a marked change from his previous posts and was written in perfect english. He claimed it was being written by his daughter because he didn't "rite tu gud" but I suspect it was really him.
Apparently he had come upon the scene of a snowmobile fatality while riding. His post described some of the details of the scene and he finished by saying: "I could just cry". It was a somber change from his previous posts and not what you would expect to hear from Porkypine. I've never forgotten that post and I'm not sure I ever remember another post by old Porky.

I'm very sorry to hear about your brother. He messed with a lot of people with his posts. I guess I'll never know if he wrote the final post that I read but I'm going to choose to believe he did.

He told me that he had printed all of those posts and saved them. Since he has now passed away, I asked my sister in law to give those printed copies to me when she finds them.
I may have to share some of those classic quotes when I get my hands on the copies.
BTW, when he reffered to fuzzball, he was referring to me.
