Preventing mice in the garage

Hummm....suppose this is where "kick the bucket" comes from??

What happens if the little buggers enjoy swimming in the anti-freeze...I hear, like salt water, you float higher in it??

If you live in dah Yoopee, might want to modify this and use a fifty-five gallon drum...some of those mice know how to stand on the shoulders of their brothers, and once they get out the word will travel fast, and well, the rest isn't pretty.

Ah, yes....mouse soup! You might kill mice but the odor will linger for centuries....and it won't be mixed with your boot or wet sock smell. Actually it is quite distinct. Once you smell that soup, you won't want grandma's soup anymore!

So much entertainment and so little time. I also keep a BB gun handy in the garage. It is always a challenge when you see one to get the BB gun and get a shot. I actually have a laser target for the BB gun but have not put it on yet.

rev500 knows what it's all about. In the summer they get active shortly before sundown so get out there just before that and keep still. All of a sudden you'll see they out of the corner of your eye and than slowly swing around to their direction and you'll get em easily. I have a nice pump BB gun and it shoots straight. Try it guys, if you figure out the right time of evening you wont waste much time at all and you'll discover a new form of entertainment. We ought to have a contest to see who get the most.

I know that they say the moth ball thing is a myth. For the last 2 years I put them in my pontoon boat and have not had any mice or signs of mice when the boats next to mine in the barn have had mice chewing on their wiring and seats.I would also set traps in the boat and along the walls in the building .

Ahhh, brings back memories of shooting rats by the grain shed. The ole Daisey didn't cut it with them, used 22LR hollow points. Now a days, you can get a bb/pellet gun at 1200 FPS or faster. My 45 rounds are only 950 FPS.

I use (not humane) traps in case they make it past the door. I not only worry about the mice, but ground hogs (woodchucks) like to dig under. Had one dig down 2 feet but never made it under the footing, like shooting fish in a barrel.

Sage orange will do the trick. We put it in our barns and garages every year. All the old farmers around us use it, and for whatever reason it works. Plus there are many sage trees around us.
