Propane dealers in my area won't fill a tank unless it is theirs so if you switch dealers you need to switch tanks too. They are happy to do it but kind of a hassle.

Wood burners

We filled our tank 4 years ago and still have 40 % left, thanks to the central boiler. Just gotta cut and split wood before the snow flies.

X'2 firewood fever has begun. Chainsaws buzzing like bees in all directions last weekend. Its been a hot summer and way too hot for the snow monkey. Been hiding in the ice box all summer with the drapes closed!

xcr440, that's exactly correct. Not that it happens very often, but if you were to lose a full tank cause the regulator went bad, you would never make up that loss. I had it happen on a suppliers tank. Filled today and gone in the morning. Their loss, not mine. If it was my tank, my loss.

That's why its only a 250 gallon tank, and only gets filled once a year because I burn wood as well.

I locked in 1.59 in the spring for 13,000 gal for drying corn and home heat. On a farm that the owner hesitated 1.86 is the opertunity now.
