Riding to the Soo...

Do you use Polaris Ride Command? If not, it's worth having. All the info you're looking for can be found there as well as planning a ride with mileages. Trail conditions are better found on club pages if they bother to update, planning a ride is easier on a laptop than a phone.
I do use ride command, I really like it but much prefer boots on the ground reports my preferred, I really get a kick out of some of the comments that are made when trails are bad, really good laugh come times lol! I also have the G8 guage with trails on it as well but I will admit I'm not technologically advanced and dont want to be flipping through screens and really like watching machine info screen which is really the ONLY reason why I bought it. heckler56 has also been very helpful and has sent me some very detailed maps of eastern areas with his own notes on them and I ended up enlarging and laminating them LOL!! came in very useful last year as hadn't ridden area since 2011. I thought you had said you would be in eastern area too any reports would be greatly appreciated, I leave on Sunday leave Thursday
I rode the area (before the warmup) and it was phenomenal. Best I've seen in years. Planning to go back next week, probably for the last hurrah of the year.
The Sault club does a really good job of communicating trail conditions (sootrails.org).
And yes, you should have no problem finding gas anywhere in between GM and SSM. Depending on your route, there is gas at Seney, Pine Stump, Newberry, Paradise, Hulbert, Trout Lake, and Brimley. A few others too.

Stayed south of Munising near The Buckhorn, ended up riding all the south trails to Manistique and Nahma so didn't ride anywhere east of Shingleton. Friday and Saturday did get warm but still a lot of people out.

I looked for reports on FB for you and basically did not find anything more than a sentence or two. This week there has been a 1,000 mile charity ride going on in the Bear Trap to Soo, Naubenway, Curtis, Newberry, etc. Folks have reported good conditions overall. By end of day they can be beat up. Huge base and snow on the way tomorrow and intermittent thereafter. The good thing is it has maintained temps close to low 30’s daytime (worst case) and freezing at night and some days. TASA sounds like a couple groomers down but will be back in service by weekend.
The Mac bridge closed for a while yesterday and has been closed most of today. When I set out tomorrow it looks to be all snow in the UP. Don’t worry, ample snow in your proposed riding area…

Out of Gm you can take trail 8 all the way to the Soo, there are other ways you can go but that is a really good way to go. Paradise does not groom on Mondays, that is their maintenance day, so I wouldn't go that way on a Tuesday. Most of the Eastern clubs post trail conditions on trailreport.net All the clubs are still saying conditions are really good to great and improving with the recent snows. I wouldn't worry one bit for your ride next week, you can go anywhere you want...hint take 43 south to Curtis and ride those southern trails, you won't be dissapointed.
