Probably the most affectionate and calm dogs we ever had. All the dogs we have had were simply awesome but Ollie was a real gem. She was 3 when my youngest son was born so needless to say she was a family member. Ollie was a pup from a previous dog of ours so we had her from birth to death. She died today at the age of 13 1/2. Today she was here usual self, still playful, begging for scraps. Around 2 pm today she got up to go outside and looked weak, she walked real slow and would just stop in here tracks and stand. It was snowing hard and she just laid down and I knew this was serious. I picked her up and the entire family took her to the vet. She had a tumor rupture and was bleeding inside. It was a matter of hrs for her so we had to say good by. The whole family was with here and she was comfortable. I cannot tell you how bad it hurts when you spend 13 years with a dog and it comes to an end. In the last 2 years my 2 youngest kids 10 and 16 just fell in love with Ollie. Ollie slept in there room and it was a beautiful thing.
Here she was on Halloween going trick er treating just a few weeks back, another when she had surgery, with her stitches and a few others when she was younger.
Ollie will be deeply missed.
