sad deal seems huge numbers of talented entertainers are bipolar. depression is a major issue in this country something like 90 people a day kill them self.

I did see him live in golden gate park in like 91 was good show but I may have been under the influence. that day was one of the best shows of my life.it was a free show when Bill Graham the promoter died in a chopper crash. every one in CA worth a chit played that day Robin opened the show to 300000 people.

Where are you getting this Bi-polar stuff? He was just depressed. Probably bummed out his show got cancelled. Without a doubt one of the very best ever. Hard to pick out best performance on screen but it was his stand up that will probably never be duplicated. Off the wall stuff just rolled out of him so fast it was amazing. There is nobody else like him.

You hit it right on the head ez. This guy was so funny & off the wall & absolutely hilarious, it kind of made you wonder where all that energy came from. Knowing some of what we now know, was his genius skill the result of his depression? Nonetheless, he was funny, he was a great actor & he will be missed. Nanoo Shezbot! Rest in peace.-Mezz

Very unfortunate. Depression and other mental health issues are a very serious medical condition. It affects way too many people and is a serious issue on returning armed forces personnel. RIP.

We is greedy with the entertainment we crave that others have put out for us....the genius that entertains us also sometimes has another
side that leads to an end that we don't like to face.
Be happy for what Robin made us laugh about.

Robin Williams was a great actor. Everyone is talking about his movies but the best remembered by myself is RV. Pure raccoon funny. I wonder how many motorhomes were destroyed in that movie?
