Rumble Pack on 06' 600 HO Switchback

I'm not a fan of obnoxiously loud snowmobiles. But we were in the UP a couple weeks ago and our guide had a rumble pack on a 600 Shift RMK. I loved it. We didn't even know he had one, until we got off trail and he had to get on it. The sound it did make when he did was very nice.

From what I read you lose about 10 pounds and gain 5-6 HP. Anybody have any personal experience with this set-up? Will I need to change anything if I install this? Jetting, etc...

Thanks.

It will not add any horsepower. They claim it will but trust me, it won't. You will lose a good amount of weight though. If you have stock jetting on that sled, you shouldn't have to change jetting. The stock jetting is pretty rich.

I have already jetted down one size because of how rich it was at factory jetting. I still think it is too rich. I'm assuming the rumble pack leans it out a bit? If so, hopefully this would be right where I want to be. Can anyone confirm this?

Oh yeah you wanna bet? The Dyno never lies...

It may be minimal but 1-2hp is still adding horsepower. Granted this depends on the silencer and the motor and the jetting.

you can make a dyno read what eaver you want BMP has the most happy dyno in the biz.you can run hot watter thrugh on stock run and cold on mod run you can cool the room 20% for mod run cold pipe hot pipe runs and those are just 3 ez ones lots of ways to make a dyno happy.what I do no is all 2s need backpresure and some do better than others with a can and most cans that you can look down the top and read a book laying under it do more harm than good .the sno stuf and mbrp are about the worst of the lot D&D SLP BMP are usualy better than the rest but also dont lose as many LBS

Why are you always pushing everyones buttons? put in your 2 cents and leave it at that. no need to add "oh yeah you wanna bet?" I will be willing to race my sled against one that has a can. There will be no difference.
