Rumor has it….

I Talked with a very reliable source today there is no truth that the Uihleins have purchased the SkyView, this has been on the rumor mill since early spring. I’m not sure why people continue to spread this.
I can tell you why each and every business listed above closed it’s doors. In my other life I was a restaurant chef and spent close to 30 years in the business.
The only existing business that has the chance to become a public business again is the Bear Bar, if you where to walk into there to day it looks like the day it closed to the public. Nothing has changed! Stock the bar today and you could open tomorrow.
They are trying to rent it out for lodging but haven’t seen it rented but 2-3 times this year.
In wish they would open the bar again with some simple eats.

It's not in good shape, been closed for some time now. Not sure what's going to happen to it, too bad, it was a great place in the day.

Picbn, you mentioned the Carlin Club, that was one of my favorite places. It closed then it opened back up for awhile, but then it closed again, I think for good. Awesome place, great food, nice bar, and great views of the lake from the dining room with a nice fire going when it was cold out.

Any updates on SKYVIEW ??
I'm told that all of the legal and financial issues have been resolved and the previous owners, (the ones before it went to garbage) will be taking over again. I forget their names, but they were nice people and were backed by their son and his cash. It would be great for it to open again. It is sad to drive by there and see what it has become after what it had been.

Did anyone else notice it was on the Wisconsin Surplus auction last spring? Or spring before? (Edit: it was last spring) My wife am I were bidding on it. Tons of pics, some good, some horrific water damage in the condo/hotel rooms. I did not know it had water front either until the auction. It was considered foreclosure and was way under what we were willing to pay, which was not allot. I forget what we were targeting on it. 150k maybe. I don't think it got to six figures and it was taken down. Never finished. There were contacts to schedule showing and the whole deal. Not sure what happened.
