Congrats on your home purchase. You will love that big garage with a heater and the door out the back will be very handy also.

My son rounds up his payments to the next even whole 100. Right now it's about an extra $72 a month off the principal. Anything you can pay above the monthly payment will help.

Well, finally got into my house this past Sunday night! Been so busy haven't had time to post. Started on the garage Sunday night, Painted 4 hrs and also had to work 12 hrs both Mon & Tues. I took off Weds & Thurs (I work 4 - 12s) making for a good 6 day weekend to work on the house. So far I've worked 15 hrs Weds, 14 hrs Thurs, and 17 hrs today on it holy sheet I'm wiped! Haven't got much more than 4 hrs of sleep since last Saturday night. I've been working on the garage nonstop and my mom (& family but mostly her), have been working inside the house. Every single room & closet has been painted thus far except for the bathrooms inside upstairs and downstairs thanks to her. I'm going to start ripping up the carpet in the living room and 2 of the bedrooms tomorrow, hope to have new stuff installed in about a week and a half. The garage is pretty much complete, cabinets installed, workbench, toolbox, and shop tools in place, I think you guys will be impressed when I post pics of the garage, just give me a little bit more time to put the finishing touches on it before I share pics! Maybe Sunday night it'll be ready for picture time. Here's a few better pics of my house, and 2 before pics of the garage.

That's a pretty nice shed. The garage space is huge! Also looking forward to next photo update.

Looks like a good place to start, I'm sure you'll make it great! I'm waiting for shots of the tighty whiteys hanging on the backyard clothes line :)

I remember my first garage. Did the same thing you did. Went nuts at the hardware store buying all those new "yard tools" and stuff. Looks like you dropped 300 bucks at your ace store. Well done. Oh and what do you have in the floor with those 4 plates over it? Anchor point of some sort?
