A PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN SNOWMOBILERS

Dear God, we thank you for your goodness towards us, and for sending us your Son Jesus. Thank you for my family and friends. Thank you for my wife for allowing me to buy another sled (or two). Thank you for allowing me to get away with the family (or the guys). Thank you for your loving kindness, grace and mercy.

Now, Lord - about the lack of snow and lack of cold temperatures. We humbly ask that you would cover most of Wisconsin & the U.P. with a horrific snow storm, the likes of which we have not seen in fifty years, accompanied by extreme and devastating low temperatures.

Freeze up thy lakes oh God, and all thy waterways. Spare the cities from harm dear Lord, but blast the countryside into next Tuesday with your fury. Pour out your wrath in a mighty display of howling wind and deep fresh snow.

We thank you in advance oh God, for your mercies. We all promise, and covenant with you oh God, to be better husbands, and better fathers. We promise to be more generous, drink a little less beer (maybe), and be more forgiving with our friends and neighbors.

We also promise God, to ride safe and sober this winter... for real ...

Amen.

One of the best sledding posts of all time!

I think that we may have to start praying around here. The forecast for central WI is not good. The next 5 days above freezing, with 2 days over 40 and possible rain. Not the type of weather we need in mid to late December. I sure hope this doesn't make it to far north.:(

I am praying John's forecast tomorrow brings us hope. Above freezing temps and rain for the next 5 days here  I don't even think we'll have a white christmas.

Well praying isn't working so...............I guess it's time to tease the snow gods. I guess it's time to take the sled back apart and order more parts! ;)

Don't think that will work, either.......mine's been apart for over two weeks and it hasn't seemed to tempt them! I still think it's time to stage a coup, overthrow Mother Nature, and install Father Nature as the controller of all things weather-related.

I use to pray for snow all the time. Even had plates that said snownut1. Then I realized that there are problably more people praying for no snow. Like the elderly and handicapped. So I set out to do some positive things for people less blessed. Then I asked the lord to send me some snow to play in. Sometimes it worked.
