smart phone for Lenny?

So, I believe I can finally benefit from a smartphone. It's application would be talk, text, email, book lodging dates, weather, little to no music. Texting is probably the most valuable than calls. The data will probably be the least important right now but I am in the process of transitioning into real estate, so whatever needs that may be I don't know.

So, what phone do I need and why. Keep in mind I am not all the techy but learn quickly and am not intimidated in the least. My son gave me his old Iphone 3 which is at&t unlocked. My personally like a larger screen and hear lots good about the samsung galaxy,,,heck, lots to consider.

sell me on something!

I have a Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro and its a nice phone...its built to withstand really tough conditions.

yeah my wife loves the one I just got her .
but man my butt still hurts I have t mobile so $749 ouch.
I like my zte max just fine for 252. big screen great battery all the stuff I need.

I have a I Phone 4s for work now (had a Blackberry for 5 years before) and a Galaxy 4 personally. I like the size of the screen on the Galaxy more than my I Phone, but of course the 6 has a larger screen. The first smart phone I had was a Samsung so I'm probably more comfortable with that then the I Phone so that is my vote. Can't say I do much with either of them beyond text, talk, email, photos and a little web access but in every one of those areas, the larger screen gets my vote. I will say that I always take photos with the Galaxy, even at work. Again, maybe just familiarity, but in my mind it is easier to take the photos and transfer them to my computer from the Galaxy. If you have Apple computers/I Pad's then I'd guess the I Phone would be better at the photo thing.... Sorry I can't "sell you on something", but I will say if you can find something used that you know works, I'd settle for something a model or two old and save a chunk of change.

Did the soup can blow out or did the string just break? Lmbo. How does one transition from a bag phone to a smart phone? I'm just having fun with ya Lenny. As you know I work in the field. I do everything from the truck. You need a none current phone and pad. Give me a call. I can explain what works for me.

Moved the company into Galaxy 5 phones today. Bit pricey. Bet hey it's for the betterment of the Co and the simians. Had Droid razers. As with all phones there is a learning curve. I like that I can scan credit cards using square card reader. They can run but can't hide. Calling these smart phones is actually an insult to the product. They are more like a personal assistant.

If you're going to be working in the field like Woodtic, I'd give him a call. What works for me (Samsung Galaxy S5 only) might not be best for you.

The iPhone 5/5S screen size is a 4 inch (100 mm) diagonal with 640×1136 pixel resolution, and has a ~1560 mAh battery.

The iPhone 6 has a LED-backlit IPS LCD Display that is only slightly larger at 4.7 inches with 1334x750 pixel resolution, and has a 1810 mAh battery.

The iPhone 6 Plus has the same type of screen, but is considerably larger, at 5.5 inches (diagonal) and 1920x1080 pixel resolution, with a 2915 mAh battery. The thickness is slightly increased from 6.9 to 7.1 millimeters on the iPhone 6 Plus. This model can be a handful. (If they make the next model much larger they might as well call it an iPad mini!)

The iPhone 5/5S uses digital image stabilization, and can shoot HD video (1080p) at 30 frames per second or HD video (720p) at 120 frames per second.

The iPhone6 includes optical image stabilization and can shoot 1080p video at either 30 or 60 frames per second. The camera also includes phase detection autofocus, and can record slow-motion video at either 120 or 240 frames per second.

Storage options: 16, 32, or 64 GB on the 5/5S; 16, 64 or 128 GB on the 6/6Plus.

Shortly after its public release, it was reported that the iPhone 6 Plus chassis was susceptible to bending under pressure, such as when carried tightly in a user's pocket; the iPhone 6 appears to be unaffected by the issue. That could be seriously worse than "butt dialing"! I would strongly recommend using a belt holster for any iPhone, rather than stuff it into a pocket, and fumbling for it from there.

While you can certainly "save a chunk o' change" with an older model, you should be aware that many of the app developers quickly abandon support for the older models (older OS versions), which can leave you twisting in the wind.

We have both. The iPhones are great but, you have to have an iTunes account and an iCloud account if you plan to do any transfer of information. It's a pain in the ***!

Apple sucks you into their world. I don't care what anybody says but, that's their goal. I've had to back up, restore and have wasted many hours on the phone with Apple fixing iPhones and iPads that stopped working.

GO WITH THE GALAXY.

I've had three. Never had an issue or spent a minute on the phone with Samsung "troubleshooting".

Yup, I've had three and I didn't even know Samsung had customer support. It's just a better piece of equipment.

I spoke with Lenny and he is all set. He is going with a pay phone mounted to the back of his truck. He will also carry a etch a sketch in his back pack. As always,I'm glad I can help.

that's bull! you will never pry that bag phone from my truck. If I don't get 30 years from any product I'm ticked
