All Polaris sleds are assembled in Roseau , Mn

I thought so, that's why I questioned the post. First he bashes Japan built motors, while he owns one or maybe 2 by his profile pic, and then makes that false statement about their sleds being built in Mexico. I wasn't trying to cause problems, just like to get the facts as straight as possible.

I'm not sure, but didn't Yamaha's engine come from one of their motorcycles? I'm sure Honda has a motor that would work.

The Apex engine was spin off from RX1 motorcycle all the rest are snowmobile engines only. What happened to Weber did Poo buy them & kick them to the curb? The Yamaha EXUP is thought to be used on a new high reving 3 cylinder non turbo engine in the future & only used it on Apex for cheap easy hp increase. Seems to me Poo would use Weber 4s unless stuck in R&D & limited to FST engine? If Weber can't help Poo in near future then maybe Poo would look else where? Poo highly invested in 2s Indy & very negative on 4s so I'm not sure they give a hoot about any 4s engines. I did like the more relaxed seating postion of the Indy over the Rush but Poo would need to bring Indy to the top of the line feature wise & install at least a 145hp 4s to compete in 4s market. If they did I would take a serious look.

The RX-1 and Apex engines are derived from the R1 sport bikes and the Vector 3 cylinder engines were derived from the engines used in their FJR 1300 sport-touring motorcycles.

I have no idea what's going on with Weber. Poo does need to do something eventually, as it's just a matter of time. The million dollar question is when will that time be? If I had to guess, I would say in about 6-10 years, 4 stroke sales will be at least 50% of the market.

slow down.........re read my post above, are any of my post "bashing" any one or brand.......huuuummmm NOPE. All I said is "I'll pass".......you do have me on reminding me that my current sled motors are also built overseas. I thought I read that the Polaris plant in Mexico was also assembling some of thier sleds, but I just did a quick Google search and did not find anything on that, so I might be wrong on that statement.

Pol sleds have always been assembled in Roseau. AC sleds have always been assembled in TRF. They both have other production facilities but sleds are not assembled at these facilities. Suzuki motors are built in Japan although they are designed by AC engineers. Fuji was the same for Pol until they went with their own Liberty motors. Yammi motors are built in ...........JAPAN. JLO motors are made in Janesville Wisc. Rotax motors remain the powerplant of choice in ultralight aircraft.
