We'd love to get gas up there, but the old tank didn't meet EPA standards and had to go. The last two months have been spent fixing all of the damage the snow did to the Lodge and cabins while they sat abandoned for a year and there was just no way to get a new tank up there this year. Sorry guys, but it won't be up there this year.

We have received mixed feedback about the need for putting it up there as many have said they prefer to haul their own in, what do you think?

I'd take snoluver1's burger/beer suggestion over the gas. THrow in a big screen with community/social area (and maybe sauna or hot tub) then your talking!! haha. I didn't mind bringing our own gas in when we were there. Guess it all depends on length of stay, and people's ability to plan/prep for it.

I think the reason so many people brought there gas was out of price. When you are spending $2.80 in Larmie, $3.00 in Centennial, and $4.00 up top it makes us really second guess topping off or bringing a bunch of extra cans.

The gas is a huge convenience for people that are staying on the mountain. If your bunkered down for a week, the last thing you want to do at the end of each day is load up and go back down just to fill up. Also for people staying down in Albany or Wycola who want to trail ride up to the top to play. They can't get back with no gas on the mountain.
