I talked to my husband this morning...it was sad to talk to him about what he experienced on Fri nite. He and his friends stayed with a young lady - Art said maybe she was 16/17 - while they waited for the first responders to come on the scene after she'd had an accident. He and his group are so sick and sad and are just hoping that this young lady is OK. We've all been praying...more prayers can't hurt. I guess they took this young lady to Ironwood. We have no way to get any info...we all just hope this gal is gonna be OK.

Thoughts and prayers all the way around...

She wasn't alone. Art said she was riding with her step dad.
i just got off the phone with Art. He was in Konteka last night and heard that she didn't make it. So sad....
I'm glad he was there to do what he could.
So so so sad for this girl's family.

I'm sad for Art and his buddies too. They were hoping and praying. But how bad he feels just pales in comparison with her family. I'm hoping I can find out who she is so we can reach out to her mom and the rest of her family. Worst snowmobiling nightmare...sending kids off with a parent and they don't make it home. I think about it more than I'd like when riding with my kids and when I send Art off...

wow,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Can't even begin to wonder how that is. Prayers for the family and all involved

I have been checking online to see if any news organizations have a death listed for either Silver City or Ontonagon or Houghton Counties and nothing has been shown up on Google yet so that may be a good thing.

So sad . My prayers to all. To Art and his buddies, God bless for being there. Copeing with the emotions can be difficult, I found solice when a fellow JD'r told me that those who help in those situations are doing what the family could'nt do. God puts us in places for a reason, sometimes it is not pleasant but necessary. My thoughts will be with you, it will take a while. Been there and done it. Bob

:-( No details needed - a young lady lost her life in a tragic accident. Personally, I do hope they can keep it out of the media. Prayers going out to the family and to those who were there to offer support.

According to the Ontonagon Sheriffs department there was two accidents near Silver City one on Friday and one Saturday. A Wisconsin woman friday night was treated and released from the Ontonagon Hospital. Then an Iowa woman Saturday night hit some trees and was taken to Ontonagon hospital and was then transferred to Wausau and they had no updates on her condition or name.

That was from the press release from the sheriffs department and more will follow I'm sure.

We'd actually like to get more info. Chevy - her condition was such that she would not have been treated and released. They told Art and buds they were taking her to Ironwood due to her level of trauma. Have no other info other than when they helped put her in the ambulance and what he heard on Saturday night.

I'm just repeating what was said in the official press release from the sheriffs department. Also heard the same basic story from some of the EMT's I know.
