Snowmobile Can MBRP vs GGB

Looking at an exhaust can for my 2018 Polaris 800.

I see MBRP and GGB make popular cans. Any input on either of these cans. Would most likely stick with the Trail Version if any at all. Mainly ride WI and MI.

Thanks.

I bought a BMP full velocity for my AXYS 800 Sounds great but I no longer use it. I ride MI and WI with stock exhaust. Looking back now I wish I would've spent my $275 elsewhere

How about you take some of that money you were gonna spend on that nuisance and join a snowmobile club or two? Way better money spent!!

Here is my MBRP mountain can. It's not as loud as most people think and no trails have been closed.

I have a MBRP can on my 1200 4-stroke. Legal in decibels with a low growl. Only wanted to get lighter----saved 19#
BTW, I was told by the local sheriff that it is still illegal as in WI you cannot alter your sled in any way.
Guess I did it twice as I also have a wrap!

I have a slp competition "starting line performance" on my 18 800 assualt. Great sound and claim it under 88 dec at 4000rpms. You cant really tell until valves open then it barks a little. Just respect the areas you ride in and dont get on it until middle of the woods. I stick with slp stuff on Polaris. They have been around forever with polaris. I've been hearing dynoport has a pipe/can combo also that's supposed to be real good. But there web site sucks so better off calling instead. Good luck and let me know. PM me and I could get you a sound clip.

The law may be you can't alter your exhaust in any way. Thats the law for vehicles. So adding dual exhaust to your pick up even if its after your stock muffler is technically illegal.
I bought a sled last year with a can on it. MBRP. Was told it wasn't that loud by seller, didn't sound to loud when I drove it,but when my kids rode it around the house in the field I couldn't beleive how loud it sounded, so it is off now.

Stock OEM exhaust is all about it's been tuned for the Mfr's registered emissions.

I would support a law confiscating sleds with “cans” on them (and by “cans” i don’t mean women drivers..lol) if being used on trails.. The future of our sport depends on it..

No worries- I don’t think there are many teenagers on this site..No one older than 16 would put a can on their sled anyways..because if your older than 16 your smart enough to understand the immediate and long term ramifications of loud sleds..

I know I sure love taking a break on the side of the trail, pulling off my helmet and hearing what sounds like a nuclear weedeater constantly alternating from 100 RPM to 7000 RPM (because for whatever reason a can causes a genetic change that prevents one from being able to operate a sled at a steady RPM/throttle/speed) from across five miles of woods. Really makes me proud to be a sledder. Not.

And I’m a LONG ways from being a crunchy environmentalist.

A loud V12 F1 car from the 80’s or 90’s? Heck yes! Experiencing a Top Fuel drag car warm up in the pits again for the first time? Take me back there! Hearing an obnoxiously loud two-stroke? LOL... no, not sexy. Annoying, just annoying.
